Wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The hostess was polite. Tyler (server) explained the menu and specials right away. He checked on us in a timely manner after each course. Our desserts were delivered to us by the manager Don. It was our anniversary and everyone made sure to tell us Happy anniversary. We got the signature hot rock as our appetizer. It was delicious. My husband got the dry aged ribeye and ai got the scallops. Both were cooked perfectly. We will be back!

Our server Henderson was fantastic! He offered great suggestions for our meal and provided exceptional service all night. The food was beyond expectations! Our best meal in Charleston by far!

We love Burwell's! It has been our favorite downtown spot for years. The vibe is very relaxed and unpretentious. The deviled eggs and waygu hangar steak are a must!! We always feel welcome and never leave disappointed!

My overall experience was excellent. The food, customer service, and atmosphere was more than I expected. I will definitely be back. And by the way, I ordered the filet mignon appetizer, Denver steak with parmesan mashed potatoes and asparagus, wedge salad, and blueberry bubbly cocktail.

We had a fantastic first time at Burwell's. Downstairs is lively, fun and just a little loud (but not in a bad way). We sat upstairs, where's it a lot more quiet. As far as food, the absolute best deviled eggs I've ever had, excellent salads, steak, and a great crème brûlée. The service was great as well.

First experience much better than this time, lengthy wait for food, water refills on point however soda refills were a struggle the entire duration. Service did not reflect the cost. Larger groups around had more attentive service. Food was still tasty.

First time there our grandson pick this restaurant. Great food and drinks, waiter was excellent. I would recommend this restaurant. All steaks and fish r grilled over wood fire which gives the food a better taste. Only issues I have, Very Expensive $$$$ and some of the smoke from cooking was visible in the restaurant. Needs a little better ventilation.

If I could give 100 stars I would. Food was incredible, service was amazing. The owner checked on us throughout our meal to make sure we were enjoying everything. We had the calamari and hot stone (filet and waygu) great experience getting to cook the steak yourself. My husband and I both ordered the Waygu entree, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️we ordered our steaks medium rare, they were cooked to absolute perfection. Next time we are in Charleston we will definitely be coming back to Burwells!

They always do such a great job and never disappoint! Its one of our favorite restaurants in Charleston. Our waiter Kyle did great and the manager Don made some great recommendations for wine.

Service and food was fantastic! We got the filet appetizer with the hot stone to sear it at our table. Grouper was delish and so were scallops. Boys shared the big Wagu steak ( $110 pricey) but they enjoyed it!

The staff was great. Table was ready as soon as we got there for our reservation. Even the owner was running food, greeting, and assisting staff. As a former manager, that is imperative to keep morale high. Thanks for a great night!

We go every year for my birthday and sometimes more. Every time I am never disappointed. The food was delicious and for the first time I had the grits last night which were amazing! Kayla was our server and she was attentive, kind and knowledgeable and had a few tables. Can't wait to go back

Had one of the best steak dinners I have had with my wife. She ate her entire portion, which rarely happens, and my hanger steak was perfectly cooked with some of the best fries I have ever had. It has a pleasant atmosphere but is perhaps not as lovely as some of the apex steak restaurants in Charleston, but I would not hesitate to recommend it as an option.

It was our first time dining here, and it did not disappoint! From the moment we stepped through the door, the service was amazing! We had the deviled eggs, baked oysters, the stone fire appetizer, and we ordered the wagyu hanger steak for our main entrees. Everything was delicious! The level of service was out of this world! We will definitely be back.

Had a party of three and enjoyed our first time here. Burwell's does meat and is it tender and all that you could ask for. You don't get loaded up on large rich side dishes like you do at the more traditional steak houses. The deviled eggs, hanger steak and filet were exceptional.
