My first bite took me back to my grandmothers kitchen the day after a turkey dinner. The thin sliced turkey, perfectly balanced sharp provolone, and the tomato, it was like it came straight from her garden that morning. Can’t say enough, go get a sammy, make your day better.
My wife and I are always on the lookout for great sandwiches, and this place definitely delivered. We tried their two specials—the “Such a Nice Italian Boy” and the “Italian Girl.” They were $17 each, but that’s very standard in Charleston these days. The difference is most spots don’t live up to the hype, and the food often feels way overrated for the price. Not here. We were down in Charleston for a college tour and stopped by for lunch. The sandwiches we ordered were fantastic. Portion size was indeed large and the ingredients were super fresh. We ordered the Americano, the Italian Girl and the Southern Hospitality.
