John at the Veranda bar was awesome and the drinks were amazing!
John was amazing! So creative with his drinks! If you don’t like what’s on the menu he can whip something up!
The Veranda Lounge was a remarkable experience that really made our trip worthwhile. We loved The Finest Hour. John was a great bartender!
John was fantastic working the bar, great southern hospitality and drinks.
John is the best and was so helpful with our martini trail plans. I love the vibe of the lounge and the drinks are delicious!
John is amazing and we had a great time for our martini crawl. Didn’t know this place existed until now and would 100% come back
John was the most amazing host! Can’t say enough good things about his hospitality and delicious drinks!
Riley was super nice and made a some delicious mojitos and mocktails. Lovely vibe and good food as well.
My wife and I dropped in here for cocktails while in town for Spoleto. What a great bar! John and Jessica made us feel very welcome and poured us some delicious cocktails. They have a wonderful cocktail list but can make virtually anything you desire. The Veranda Lounge has my highest recommendation.
We had the best afternoon hanging out here! We enjoyed the tasty, sophisticated and creative cocktails mixed up by bartenders John and Jessica. Conversations were lively and fun.
We didn’t eat anything so I’m not rating the food category.

It’s a really cute lobby to sit and have a drink, but I’d skip the food. We had the empanadas (?), beets salad was bland, and the baba ganoush tasted more like a bland hummus. Very nice wait staff. Comfy seating. Beautifully decorated.

Great cocktail bar to get a drink and something to eat in the historic district. Will definitely be back!

So, the bartender is incredibly talented. Just tell him what you like and he’ll make an awesome cocktail for you. If only I lived nearby … you have to come here.
1 star because the hotel is beautiful but the staff at this bar was extremely rude. When you’re paying premium prices ($600+ a night) service is expected. We are also repeat guests of the Loutrel. My husband and I stood there for 5 minutes before being acknowledged by either of the 2 bartenders. They were busy making small talk with a family (that had two children) sitting at the bar taking up space. Then one of the bartenders proceeded to take my husbands order while the other bartender continued to ignore me and act absolutely miserable. Finally my husband had for my drink because the bartender didn’t bother to ask.So, in summary we were ignored, the two bartenders were rude and let children take up bar space away from paying customers/ hotel guests: I absolutely love this hotel and the rest of the staff is unbelievable aside from these two. Also, children sitting at bars isn’t even legal.Very Disappointed by this.
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I did not like this restaurant at all. Service was inattentive, food was barely edible. We didn’t realize it was essentially a hotel bar based on it being on Resy. Don’t waste your time.
