Sunday morning 9AM, little bit of a line but moved quick!

Apple danish - overall fine but the pastry part was too chewy almost stale, hard to tell if intentionally chewy or overcooked. Apple slices while aesthetically pleasing, hard to chew because of apple skin left on during baking

Chocolate Croissant - pretty good, but different. Super crunchy and very buttery. Good chocolate distribution

Matcha - great matcha to oat milk ratio but wasn’t whisked all the way through

This Bakeshop is tiny but mighty! We got the iced croissant late and the salted pistachio latte and both were DELICIOUS! The pastries were amazing as well with very unique options. Definitely stop by on your Charleston visit!

should have been smaller. not tiny enough, name was misleading. look into reducing square footage. staff was happy.. too happy. install an ac unit outside please. or make it colder outside. had to use an oil blotting sheet. overall would come back

Service was amazing, really pretty place, food was amazing also, but if they could keep their “hot specialties” hot, would be way better! Overall excellent

The best stop on our little trip to Charleston. The fig sugar bun was incredible!

Ok, this is a real bakery. Pastries savory and sweet are all top notch. Focaccia is light, filling, chewy, crispy all at the same time with beautiful crumb. Viennoiserie are all authentic, especially the croissants. When they get their espresso machine, there will be no need to go anywhere else! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Welton’s Tiny Bakeshop really lives up to the name. Small space but big flavor. We ordered a dirty chai latte, iced toasted croissant latte, a fig leaf sugar morning bun, and a dark chocolate croissant. Everything was tasty and flaky. Coffee was great, service was friendly, and they even had free samples. Cozy little spot with a fun atmosphere. Tiny but mighty!

Had brunch here two days in a row - it’s a good thing I don’t live in CHS because I would eat here every day. Day one my husband and I both ordered the muffuletta sandwich and shared a mixed berry kolache - everything was absolutely delicious! Day two we ordered the biscuit breakfast sandwich, the daily focaccia slab, the peach danish, the peach iced tea, and the vanilla croissant latte (omg!). Again, everything was absolutely delicious. The ladies in the storefront explain each item and are very sweet. The ingredients are very high quality, which you can taste. Can’t wait to come back!

Just got back from our 3 week trip to central and Eastern France, where we ate our daily croissant (or 2… or 3 🙂), so we have a pretty good measure on a proper croissant. This one is a bit different than what we got there; much smaller, denser, but don’t let that discourage you, it’s still EXTREMELY flavorful. I honestly liked it a lot, just couldn’t think of it in the traditional sense.

My only “complaint”, would be the price. After 2 croissants and a $1 tip, it was over $14. I expected to pay more, since we’re back in the US, but definitely wasn’t expecting that much. Just for price reference, typical croissant prices in France were 3€ tops, so $3.53, but averaged around 1.50€.

With that said, I’d definitely have another, but know that I’ll be paying a premium for it and it’s not a traditional croissant, at least in the sense that we experienced in France.

They have a beautiful selection of seasonal French pastries and breads. Incredibly fresh and high quality. Go early, pastries sell out! The coffee is great too.

Outdoor seating only, but it's shady and they have a huge fan so the heat isn't too bad.
