Barcode is always a vibe though out the week. The music is great. The food is phonamal. I love the wings and the lamb chops. There drink towers are on point. You just got to see it for yourself. Plenty of parking also.

I paid $50.00 to reserved for a group of 30 to celebrate Brunch for my 50th Birthday, we were seated in a timely manner, the vibe was nice although the music was a little to loud, the waitress was really nice and I get that she did not have any control on how long it was going to take for us to get our food. But let me tell you a simple meal of fish and grits was horrible, the fish was bland taste like it was dipped in plain corn meal and just fried, absolutely no seasoning at all. The grits who can mess up grits, simply just cooking it with salt and butter would have given it a little flavor. We send that meal back 2 times, me the birthday girl not only was my order taken last I received my order last after everyone was disappointed with their food I was hoping I wouldn’t have to experience the same issue but I did! The salmon wasn’t cooked it taste like it was frozen and the grits taste like it had a half a bottle of pepper added to it. I left that meal right on the table, my daughter in law and son ordered waffles and chicken the chicken was definitely the frozen bag of chicken with absolutely no seasoning at all! I must say this was the worst experience I’ve had in a long time and it was Quite embarrassing for me on my 50th Birthday with friends and family who traveled from New York and Florida because the food was expensive and the quality was not good, all I can do is give my apologies to my peoples because I was referred to this place, and shame on me I didn’t do my research. We would have had a better experience at IHOP I’m just saying!

This was a small party of 3 out celebrating a birthday. The birthday girl suggested your establishment because it was convenient for us all to meet during happy hour. The service and food was ok. What I took issue with was when we ordered 2 appetizers for the table and requested plates and silverware, the servicer brought back TWO plates for THREE people. When we requested the 3rd plate she stated "he was already fussing about the 2 plates"...EXCUSE ME? How were we expected to eat? Then, the use of plastic to-go fork/spoon/ knife combo sent me. How can you have a menu with ribeye, lobster tails and lamb chops as a meal choices but have patrons eat off of plastic wear that can barely hold up to french fries? Do better.

The establishment is nice and the music was pretty good. That’s the only positivity in this post. This was my first time here and will for sure be my last. I was looking forward to visiting but I am beyond disappointed leaving Barcode. My friend reserved a table, we got there around 8 it wasn’t packed yet and we sat down immediately. The hostess was supposed to bring a menu but she never did so our waitress got us the scan code to use.For food I had wings ( they came out cold the first time) and they forgot my fries. For drinks I had a lemon drop (the first one had something in it and was sent back) with tequila instead of vodka and a Lunazul and lemon. Wings fries 2 drinks. It was only 2 of us. I got my bill and there was an auto gratuity even though the menu said for parties only … whatever. The waitress said it’s 18%. My total was only $40ish dollars. I told her they were charging me almost 40% gratuity as my bill was $64. My friend’s bill was similar because they basically charged her 1.5 times the price of a drink due to her getting Lunazul (it made no sense at all) but no gratuity was added. I honestly thought this was added because I previously sent my food and drink back. Before the bill came the waitress was ok she addressed our concerns, service was slow but she wasn’t bad. After I questioned the bill it seems her attitude changed. I told her if the gratuity was for both of us that was fine, but she said no and that she needed to add gratuity to my friend’s already high bill as well. I spoke with the manager who explained that the gratuity was only placed on my check ( ok that was fine.. I guess it made more sense but was still ridiculous for 2 people but if that’s the rule ok). This was a horrible experience and to keep from making this review even longer, the food was mediocre at best, the drinks were overpriced and the customer service wasn’t good. I will not be going back and based on other reviews I will be monitoring my credit card for additional charges. Sucks because it really is a nice spot but this had been on of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in Columbia. Shout out to the DJ though

Me and my girls went to barcode for brunch last Saturday. Prior to going we noticed that online they had reservations for tables for $25 so we reserve the table for $25 thinking that it would be a situation where it is a must for a table of five in order to have a seat. So we get there and there’s no one there so we are sat right away. We ordered food and it took as long as It does with a packed restaurant. So the hour goes by then another hour, and we start getting curious as to why we had to pay to sit at the table. We inquire about the deposit coming off of our bill to Waitress, but she advised that we spoke to the manager about it. The manager came over and told us that we had to pay to sit at the table even tho We were paying for our food and there was no one else in the establishment. No common courtesy of removing the deposit because we clearly did not have to deposit for a table when there was no one else waiting to be seated In this restaurant for three hours- literally no other customers came. We spent money on individual beverages, we bought towers, and food and the table we sat at. The chicken wasn’t seasoned a bit, but it was fried good. Definitely not a good experience. Will not come back. Waitress was also nice. The female management- not so much.

We never ate because as soon as we sat down they started to tell us about everything they didn't have. We wanted mimosas and they were out. We left and went somewhere else.

Walked in at about 6:20pm Africa got us seated and she was very nice she went and got the server I believe her name was deashia or something, she was also a sweet girl. I loved the hospitality. It got crowded quick but walk ins was able to get a table and sit for 3 hours minimum. The dj was on point with the R&B music. The strawberry margarita was kinda of sweet but it wasn’t bad after adding more ice to it. I ordered 6 hot honey garlic wings they was good. Happy hour ($.75) wings. I also ordered the salmon dinner $22 comes with two sides I choose mash potatoes which was really good and macaroni and cheese I thought was sweet. The salmon wasn’t that great so I boxed it up to eat later. I also taste my friends lemon pepper wings and salmon bites. Those were good she gave the salmon bites a 10/10. The vibe was laid back and chill. Great spot.

Our server Jailyn was amazing!!!! My family and i traveled from Atlanta to South Carolina for a graduation to eat here. She has great customer service, really sweet, and she was very welcoming. The food was also really good as well. Most definitely recommend this restaurant anytime you’re in Columbia, South Carolina. Oh yeah make sure you ask for Jailyn 10 out of 10 recommend!!!

Simone is an excellent server. Great suggestions on what to order, & my food was brought to me hot and ready. Can't wait to come back. Simone knew the menu well & what drink paired well with what dish. Hope to see you next time. Good job cook, & Dj.

Very disappointed. I ordered flounder and grits. I ended up getting tilapia. I’m told the waitress, which she acted dumb. She said she’ll be back. She never fixed the issue for me. I know the difference between tilapia and flounder. She could of asked me if I wanted something else. This make me hate supported certain businesses, especially black businesses. I’m very unhappy.
