The waitress, Devon, at Basil Thai of Columbia spills the BROTH out of my niece's soup. We asked for a refill of the broth. She & the manager, Troy, refused to refill the broth leaving my neice with a bunch of noodles. Rudely, the manager said "This is our most expensive soup. We don't have broth to give away!" Obviously, I didn't care how much it cost because I ordered it. That's not the point. Then, he said if I wanted more broth, I needed to purchase another one. This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard! The broth was very important to my niece because she has a medical condition & cannot eat solid food. She only can drink liquids. This was told to the waitress when my niece ordered the soup. She wanted the soup primarily for the BROTH. Then the waitress spilled it. Leaving my niece with nothing to eat because the waitress & manager refused to refill what the waitress spilled. The waitress needs to pay for the lost, not us!Explain to me how you're giving away BROTH that I paid for, but YOU spilled & it's my fault?!!! How expensive is BROTH? Not the ingredients in the soup, but BROTH!!

I ordered a beef salad that took 45 minutes to come out and it smelled awful from a foot away. Also, the lettuce was old (probably the cause of the smell)

I would rate Duke's Thai above Basil Thai but the atmosphere is better at Basil Thai. Appetizers were good (chicken and beef kebabs as well as shrimp spring rolls). Volcano shrimp was decent. Pad Kee Mow was honestly a little disappointing, rather bland.

I like Basil Thai for the most part, but it is a bit pricey for what you get and the basic food quality. I have never dined in, only picked up or DoorDash. The ambience seems pretty cool, and the hostess's customer service is always great. Calling in to place an order is always a breeze, and I haven't ever had any issues when I have ordered through DoorDash. I have never had an issue with my food. The portion of rice is decent. It can be split between two people. The wings are pretty good as well. and can also be split between two people. The only other thing I've ever had is their spring rolls, which are decent, but sometimes they get soggy. Again, I like basil, but I do think it is overpriced for the quality.

I ordered pad Thai to-go, and it was $30 with tax and tip. When I opened the bag I was shocked at what a sad little portion my $30 had purchased. It was good, but come on, that's a lot of money for a handful of rice noodles.

This was my first time visiting Basil and I wasn’t disappointed! The ambiance was inviting and the servers were pleasant. I will definitely visit again to try some other dishes. The basil rolls were nice, I did ask for a sweet and sour sauce as the original sauce was too hot for my taste buds ?The duck pho was delicious ? I would probably omit noodles next go around just for personal preference. The vegetable delight with chicken (optional) was cooked to perfection!Vegetarian options: Options offered are satisfactory

This restaurant is definitely one you have to check out. The drinks are delicious and on point (not watered down). I was disappointed with the fish, it was smoothed in sauce and at one point i thought it was a soup. When i finally found the fish it was not impressive especially because the last time I came here i was so impressed with all the entrees we ordered. My husband enjoyed the wings (a bit dry) though and the duck was good and well favored. The wontons were a disappointment. Now i will tell you we came an hour before they closed so they may have been tired because they have done so much better in the past...the reason why I didn't give them a 2 star review. The waitress was sweet but was overworked and ready to go and seemed inexperienced. I will come back and try again because like I said before they were better in the past. I will recommend because of past experiences.
