My Zeta Sorority Sisters and I had a festive early dinner at Basil Thai! Everything ordered was delicious and the staff were attentive and accommodating. It was a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.
Amazing thai food and sweet, accommodating workers.
We arrived at this restaurant at 8 p.m. on a Sunday and waited around 45 minutes for our dishes. The server was preoccupied with cleaning the bar and didn’t care about serving. Another server brought our food after a long wait without explanation. Fried rice is one of our dishes, but it was not well-mixed and had white rice without seasoning. I’m hesitant to return, but I hope the manager sees this review.

Basil Thai Cuisine offers terrific and great food, with specific praise for the Pad Thai, garlic chicken and fried rice, cashew chicken, and the excellent Hot and Sour Seafood soup (Tom Yum). The ambiance is nice and the restaurant is clean. However, experiences with service are inconsistent. While some servers are noted as awesome, attentive, informative, and courteous, other visits reveal issues. Problems include slow kitchen timing leading to long waits between meals, servers forgetting requests or not returning for drink refills, and occasional shortages of items like wines and club soda. There has also been confusion and unpleasant interaction regarding Happy Hour pricing, which was not clearly advertised as for bar seating only. Despite these service missteps, which can be flustered and unpleasant, many customers indicate they will go back, hoping service will be better, as the food itself remains a strong draw.
