To buy by the pound can be quite expensive, especially for veggies. I really feel that $30.00 was just too much.

The food is DELICIOUS!! If I could give 10 stars I would. If you love country cooking, soul food this is your place!! Make your own plates to go buffet style. All kinds of greens, vegetables, baked mac & cheese, turkey wings gravy, fried chicken, ham, various meats beef stew, steak gravy, pork chops. Michael has been a chef for decades his food is wonderful. He believes in lots of fresh cooked vegetables which is hard to find these days.

42 dollars for turkey legs Mac and greens. Not a lick of seasoning was used . Mac and greens flavorless. Turkey legs were decent and that was the only thing

The Food Is Awesome...Everything Is Cooked Fresh. The Best Part It's A Black Owned Business. Sunday Dinner At Grandma House Definitely.

I was over charged for my meal 11 oz is $15 .00 as posted at the door. However, the lady who checked me out charged me $23.60 and add a $3.56 tip. She told me $23.60 and yet added the 3.56 tip and charged my card 27.16. As I spoke with the manger about the issue, he did not care to talk with his employee who cheated me. The food was terrible and I will not eat there anymore or any one I know. You need to close your business, because you will not prosper when you cheat senior citizen and in particular, your owned people who go out of their way to keep you in business!!!

One picture of CJ's "plates" on Facebook and was sold on at least trying this local chef's smoked meats. For two of us, for two good meals is what I was looking for with my sample order. I ordered just meat plates, no sides. Burnt ends (IYKYK), brisket, a rib eye steak, and salmon. Total for those was $62. That might sound high to some but trust me (a total stranger on the internet) when I say it was truly the best brisket and burnt ends my husband and I have ever eaten anywhere, including Memphis and Dallas! My husband tasted the salmon, pronounced it "really good" but he was deeply interested in the brisket and burnt ends so we dug in. Heavenly. The Best. Amazing. And we will end up with three meals out of this quite easily. We didn't order the sides because he is a diabetic, but everything just looks phenomenal. My photographs do not do his food Justice!

It’s been a year since I been here. My mom wanted chitchattings. They used to be 10.00 for a large . They are now 20.09 for the large. I also got tow small containers of white rice. I gave the 3 20’s and got back 6 dollars for change. Just a heads up if you are coming for chitchattings. Don’t get me wrong the food is great.

CJ is the best home cooked country food in town. No need to add seasonings. Pricing matches the cost of food and an average dinner if you go out to eat. Good service, good food and good price.
