CWP is in my opinion the best bar in all of Columbia! All the staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and hardworking - making sure everyone is having fun and being taken care off. If you are looking for your next hang out spot, I urge you to check out CWP - it’s absolutely a one of a kind!

Visited there for the first time last night. The staff was great attentive to kept things in order. It was a friendly atmosphere. Is the biggest negative Issue is dance Etiquette. Way too many people Is standing on the dance floor. When people were dancing they refused to get out of the way. Line dancers Would not give any room for people 22 step on the outer edge of the floor. They do offer lessons to teach the line dances. Maybe the dancing instructor should also teach dance floor etiquette. As I was saying fun friendly atmosphere but really sucks if you will go there to dance.

Line dancing night. If you want the line dancing, it's going to be a good time! A guide helps keep the group in sync. If you want a regular bar and conversation it may be a little difficult.

CWP apparently stands for Carolina Western Pub, not concealed weapons permit, but if country line dancing is something that you either know how to do or want to see then CWP is the place to go. Really is the only bar where people are dancing in the Vista. The environment is fun and country. You can wear your cowboy boots and the cowboy hat. Their AC worked which is really important and it didn't smell like farts. But the real reason it was a 5 star experience was because of the staff who created the experience. From Angela doing wristbands, to the quick and excellent bar service and short lines, to the security inside and the bouncers who were professional and engaging as we left. They were the reason I didn't just go to a country line dancing bar, I had a great experience with my friend at CWP that I remember and the experience really meant something to me. Thanks to Emory, Weber, Blake, Angela, BJ, and Kyle. They all have that indescribable X factor quality that just makes one a winner.

Please DO NOT go to this bar. If I could give this place zero stars I would. The owner is extremely rude and unwelcoming. He throws people out the bar very easily. There seems to be a lot of racism at this bar as well because there’s no other explanation to how I was treated. The door guy is very rude and unreasonable. He basically told me I could not come in because I was "too drunk". I tripped a bit over the sidewalk coming up to the bar and he saw that and said what he said. But the funny thing is that I don't even drink alcohol. This guy is newer and very rude and judgmental. Never had any issues before him but always knew to be very careful with the owner even though I have been going to this place for over 2 years. I have never gotten drunk or caused a problem at this bar and I have several videos to prove that because I only went to line dance. After the bouncer turned me away from the bar the owner did a complete 360 on me and told me to get the hell out and caused a huge scene in front of everyone. I'm sure if I was a Caucasian girl it would have been different. I wasn't even given a chance to talk or say anything. Be very careful here if you are a POC. I hate playing the race card but I am also very aware and know about other incidents that occurred here. After I initially posted this review the owner got a group of regulars to post positive reviews. If you notice this is how he buries all the true bad reviews because every time someone posts the truth he gets his posse to post something good. He agreed to meet me after banning me for posting this review and when I arrived he had cops come out of nowhere and tell me l'm trespassing. I was basically set up. They told me I am never allowed to come back to that establishment. It was extreme and over the top. This man literally pretended to be my friend and for people to get banned this easily and treated so badly by the owner I'm shocked at how he still runs this business. A grown adult man did not even know how to have a normal conversation so he had cops ambush me for no reason. He waited for me to arrive outside and was super dismissive and nasty. I've never been treated so poorly in my life or embarrassed in public like this. It's sad he can get away with this. I had to repost this review because the owner had Google take my review down. He will do anything to avoid the truth getting out but the truth always comes out some way!!
