1st time trying this great tasting establishment. I’m a BBQ fan, everywhere we travel I try and find the local go to spot, this one did not disappoint. The Brisket was amazing, the sides were all great as well. Portions were very filling, staff was super friendly.
The food was amazing! The meats do not need sauce because they are seasoned so well (I know Robbie told us what he used to smoke the meats with but I can't remember.) Went for my birthday and it was my first visit, I was impressed 😊 I'll be going back and taking more people the next time!

You haven't tasted truly exceptional barbecue until you've experienced this pulled pork and chicken. That constant line snaking out the door and down the street isn't just a coincidence—it's a testament to the consistently incredible food waiting inside. And let me assure you, the wait is always, without a doubt, worth it. Their array of sauces is nothing short of perfection, each one a carefully crafted masterpiece. But the chop sauce? It's in a league of its own, the absolute best I've ever had, boasting precisely the right amount of exhilarating heat. Even the mere thought of their hash and rice sets my mouth watering with anticipation. And for those who might not indulge in pork, fear not! They offer a delightful selection of other options to satisfy every palate. Don't just take my word for it; come taste the legend for yourself.
We waited an hour and a half in line, we were super exited to try this place so we waited and waited. Got up to the area to order, we got the brisket, pulled pork, cornbread, green beans and hash and rice. $80 for two people we were a bit taken a back with the price. Sat down and started to eat, cornbread was the best item on the tray. The green beans had a weird taste almost like they had cinnamon or nutmeg in them and had an overly smoky scent to them. The brisket was okay, nothing to write home about. Pulled pork is not for everyone as it doesn’t have much flavor other than the standard porky flavor, no real smokiness but it was one of my favorites. The services from the workers was outstanding, they are super nice and friendly however I don’t think we will return as the price for the taste doesn’t fit well with us.

I came here twice to eat and try as much of the menu, but one consistent thing I found was that the meat was slightly dryer. This is probably the best texas brisket in Columbia, but it is a bit dry, probably due to the storage method. The chopped pork sandwich and pulled pork were a bit dry. However, the pulled pork was absolutely delicious (but still a bit drier). The ribs weren't very smoke in flavor but was tender, however I found it similar to an oven baked rib. The sides were also fantastic, I would recommend the Shells with Cheese and the Honey Butter Cornbread. Get the edge piece. The generous sides were a plus as well. Sausage was alright, nothing special. However, despite my low rating, it is a great BBQ place for its sides, but the meat is just a bit lacking. I would come back to see where the team takes it.

Chopped pork with skins is delicious. The beef ribs and brisket are amazing. Apple cobbler is best I’ve ever had. The chicken is moist and delicious.

You can’t get anything bad here (literally everything they make is the best I’ve ever had), but ask them to make you a chopped pork sandwich with skins and slaw (“Carolina style”). Suffice to say that if I’m ever asked to order my last meal they’ll have to go find Robbie.

Just came here for the first time and everything is incredible. Highly recommend, there's about 30-60 min wait but it's worth it.

I write very few reviews but I had to write this one after eating here last weekend for the first time. The people running this place are top notch, very friendly, and very compassionate. The food is out of this world! I ordered beef ribs, pork ribs, burnt ends, sausage, potato salad, and coleslaw. They even gave me pickles and onions for free!
The beef ribs….i don’t know what to say. They are melt in your mouth, tender, and full of flavor. Well let me save a few words….everything was excellent!!
If you haven’t eaten their bbq, you are totally missing out!

City Limits is such an incredible collection of talent and good food. The team is very friendly and knowledgeable. Clearly, they love their work, and work well together. The environment is friendly and the food is probably the best bbq I have had anywhere. There is no shortage of accolades to confirm my opinion from MULTIPLE publications. It is not fast food but the experience is part of the fun. There is free bottled water, fans and a bench for at least part of the line. They make everything. Sausage, hot dogs and sauces are all made on location. A marriage of Texas and Carolina BBQ bringing both treasures to your plate.
