Don Tequilas Mexican Grill & Cantina

The two of us really wanted to try this place since it’s been closed for a long time. Friend had fajitas, which were really just standard. I had a lunch taco salad which was not edible. Small amount of wilted lettuce, scary tasting ground beef and a few curds of some white stuff that may have been cheese. I ordered guacamole though, which was very good. It had lots of lime and cilantro, very tasty. Service and atmosphere were very good. So I paid my entire bill, left a good tip, but I won’t be back. Really a shame! It had such potential.

Stopped here aftering seeing a movie at amc n im so glad I did it's a gem. Everything was perfect. I had fajita nachos n they were delicious the free chips and salsa were on par especially the salsa very flavorful

Food is fine. Service is slow and I don't like that they stand holding the payment device watching what you tip them. Very uncomfortable.

Great Mexican restaurant we found passing through Columbia, SC. Our meals came out quickly . We had the seafood appetizer which was awesome even though it had onions in it. Onions are not my favorite food. I was surprised on a Friday night at 6:45 pm that it was not busy. Mayb e because it was the day before Valentine's Day plus there are soooo many restsurants around it. Huge menu selection!! I got the avacodo salad with the cilantro dressing on the side. I had never had cilantro dressing and discovered it was really good. Our waitress did a nice job! Quick seating. Very nicely decorated for Valentine's Day!

Excellent dinner tonight at Don Tequilas Mexican Grill. We had the Seafood Rolls as a starter, my entree was the Avocado Salad with Grilled Chicken. Both were superb! I haven't seen Seafood Rolls at any other Mexican restaurant, these were delicious. The Avocado Salad with Grilled Chicken was excellent. The chicken was seasoned to perfection without being spicy or overnearing. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. This was our first visit.
