I love this deli! To be honest, I’ve only been here for the ice cream, but I’ve come back several times just because it’s so good! I would venture to say that it’s better than the majority of ice cream shops I’ve been to in my life, and the staff members are always really sweet. The ambiance is cool as well, as it gives off a really cool retro-classic vibe. Even though I can’t comment on the vast majority of their food, I’d definitely recommend stopping in if you’re looking for great ice cream!

The main downside is pricing, which can feel a bit on the higher side compared to similar sandwich shops, especially if you’re adding extras.
Still, it’s a reliable go-to when you want a good sandwich without overthinking it 👍

I have had the pleasure of eating here several times since I have been in Columbia. I have tried several items from their lunch and breakfast menus. Everything I have tried has been great. It's fresh, good food served in a timely manner by a staff that is service minded. I recommend the Farmhouse Chicken Sandwich if you're there in the morning and I haven't found anything but great food on their lunch menu. Definitely 5 stars.

When we moved here 6 months ago it was amazing! Always greeted with a smile and fairly quick service and honestly the best turkey Reuben and potato salad! Something has changed in the past few months. Takes forever to get your food and they never even greet you! They have two registers and someone will be standing at one as though they are ready to order and then not even know the menu and there is another employee free that stands there and doesn’t ask if they can help you and the other register. Get better help!

Stopped into East Bay Deli on Main Street with a friend and the whole experience felt effortless — the kind you hope for but rarely get. The food was excellent: fresh, satisfying, exactly what you want when you walk through the door.
Austin took great care of us. Attentive without hovering, helpful without being asked. The kind of service that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time.
