El Jimador Mexican Restaurante

My enchiladas came out dry with a small clump of dry cheese. I didn’t touch it and when he brought the other plates to the table I asked the waiter to take it back and no replacement is needed I didn’t want it. He grabbed the manager who proceeded to tell me I read the menu right? And what did I expect him to do about it. I explained my reason and he said so you want the food wasted. He said he can’t just take it off the bill. So I said I don’t want it and don’t expect the charge to be on the bill. I gave him some advice as the manager handling a customer complaint. The food is not ok…and neither was the service by the manager. I do not recommend this place whatsoever.

If you go there on Tuesdays, you can get tacos for just a dollar. So if you want 10 Tacos, thats a 10 dollar meal.

Our first time eating here tonight. Both of our meals and drinks were delicious, service was great. I had texano ACP, she had tacos, and margaritas. Will absolutely be going back

Used to be a favorite place. They changed the menu and jacked up the prices, now it’s just not good food, and definitely not worth the new prices. Try Coco’s and Beer or Mi Casa Latina in Elgin for getter food. Very disappointing.

Why doesn’t the bathroom have a changing table for ladies to be able to change their kids

I almost didn't leave a review because I don't want anyone else knowing how good this place is and ruining the casual lunch vibe. 😂 We absolutely love this place for lunch! Their prices are great and the service is fast. Plus, the food is excellent. I always get the lunch fajitas. Highly recommend them!!

Sooo I took my mother to this restaurant for the first time for $1.00 Margaritas Monday and let’s just say we WILL NOT BE RETURNING.
There was a huge language barrier with our server and she charged us ALL $9.00 for each margarita INSTEAD OF $1.00. Huge difference!!! We all ordered 3 margaritas and when we got our checks we were in shock.
After speaking to the “on shift” assistant manager he “adjusted” the drink to $5.00 each stating that’s the best he could do. $15 for $1.00 drink is INSANE! Sis thought we said Dahlia and we said DOLLAR 🤦🏽‍♀️
Again I ONLY CAME FOR $1.00 margaritas which was stated when we all arrived.
As for the food, the portion size is small and the $6.00 side of cheese was truly a teaspoon. Save your time, money and energy and head to san JOSE IN BLYTHEWOOD BC THEY WOULD NEVER 👎

Disappointed and Won’t Return

My wife and I visited El Jimador in Sandhills and had a very disappointing experience. We saw the sangria on special for $8 and decided to try it. When it arrived, there was no fruit at all in the glass—just red liquid. We tasted it and it honestly didn’t resemble sangria at all.

When we asked the server, she said the bartender told her they were out of fruit. Had we known that before ordering, we would’ve chosen something else. I asked if we could simply get another drink instead, but was told they could only replace the one we had (which made no sense, since they were out of what makes it a sangria in the first place).

I spoke to the manager, hoping for a reasonable resolution, but he only offered to discount half of the drink. I explained that we didn’t want a discount—we just wanted to order a different drink, especially since we were planning to order more throughout the evening. But he wouldn’t budge.

It was a small ask, and the way it was handled showed zero interest in customer satisfaction. If you’re going to nickel and dime a guest over a poorly made, incomplete drink rather than doing the right thing, you’re not going to earn return business. We won’t be back.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! Spent a large amount for a dinner of 4 to go and the meat in the birria taco was hard and flavorless!!!!! Called to speak with the manager and the manager hung up immediately as I said the food was hard! Called back several times and the staff was rude and hung up again! NEVER EVER EVER spend your money with this establishment!!!! I will continue to take my money elsewhere to an establishment that would appreciate their customers!!!!
If I could give them 0 stars, I definitely would!!!
