In a visit to Columbia, SC my family and I were craving some good food pretty late at night/early in the morning. This review is based off of a first time, takeout experience. I'm not very familiar with the area but someone mentioned this place gets rave reviews for their food and party scene. There is security in the front of the establishment and when we walked in it was a huge space. The space had a bar in the middle and some tables and chairs spread about. As soon as you walk in, to the left is where you place your food orders and if you're taking it to go there's a seating area to the right where you wait. It is well lit in this establishment as well and didn't come of as a club scene but more like a spot to just chill out. The music was playing and I enjoyed all of the tunes. Brought me back to my days back home in NYC. I ordered the brown stewed snapper with mac and cheese and collards and a beef patty. My husband went with the oxtails and our other family members ordered brown stewed chicken and fried shrimp and fish platters. Oh and two green tings bc what's Jamaican food without a ting to wash it down. First let me say the pricing of their menu is a WIN! My snapper plate was $12. Can't be mad at that, at all! Anyway, while we waited we just enjoyed the music. Our food was ready in about 10-15 minutes and we were out the door. Man, the food smelled sooooo good. I couldn't even wait and started on my patty. Reminded me of the patties back home. If I was really feeling greedy, I should have gotten it with cheese and coco bread lol! Anyway we get home and I was SO happy to see the whole fish cooked up so nicely. It was calling my name and apparently everyone else's too bc they all wanted a taste. It was DELICIOUS!! The mac and cheese was good but the collards weren't my favorite. Hubs wasn't impressed with the oxtails but enjoyed his sides. The brown stewed chicken got an a-ok review and the fish and shrimp plate was fresh and hot and what you would expect of a fried platter. When I'm back in town I will definitely be getting my stewed fish fix. I don't know if I'll stay to hang out but I guess we'll see.

This spot is huge! A lot of seating and an amazing Dj! After 10 pm Thurs-Saturday (only times I've been) it turns into somewhat of a club. They make you pay $5 or $10 to get in. So if your craving curry chicken rice n peas with plantains without the night life i suggest coming before 9. They are fully staffed and have pool tables as well. It's always a great atmosphere when I go there and the food is good. They have a good selection of food with great prices.

One of the best Caribbean restaurants I've been to, in regards to food, portion size, affordability. My server Meagean was OUTSTANDING. Her knowledge of both the menu & taste of food is extraordinary. When you first walk in, the place doesn't seem appealing to the eye, but the food is good!

Great food, great customer friendly workers, very professional, and I love the atmosphere inside of the restaurant. To me the BEST black owned restaurant in Columbia. #handsdown

Delicious food! I ordered the J*** chicken with Mac and Cheese and French fries. The chicken was cooked perfectly plus you get a lot of food for the price you pay. I will absolutely return to try other items on the menu.

Probably will be my new favorite Jamaican replacement. Was kinda skeptical about the Jamaican food coming from NY and moving here. I mean Jamaicans in SC??? I guess... It's a huge venue. Can easily accommodate between 75-125 people. The ambiance is very reminiscent of the Jamaican lounges I use to frequent back in NY. I came in the middle of the day on a Friday and it was some people there but not many. The service was also kinda lacking but again it was the middle of the day. I ordered take out. Got the Curry chicken roti, a beef Patty and a side of plantains. The roti was great. Was very authentic. I did not expect this from a Jamaican spot as Roti is a traditional Trinidadian dish. The beef Patty tasted like it came Frozen and then cooked like the tower isle brand you can find in Walmart. The plantains were ok. They were not that ripe. One thing I noticed in walking in was the daily drink specials they had (see pic I uploaded). I def need to come back to check those out. Seems like it can be a lit time!

Service was extremely slow! Now I am glued to my bathroom. Will not be going back which is a bummer because I liked their food.
