Met some friends today for lunch here and had the famous southern treat - tomato pie! Split the chicken over broccoli salad with a friend. The caramel cupcake was delicious- moist and decadent! The Happy Cafe is a really lovely locally owned cafe- we will be back!
On Monday Feb. 10 my wife and I were looking for a lunch place we had never been to in the Free Times Bites & Sights magazine. Ray's Diner on Two Notch was dirty on the outside, Pebbles on Rosewood was a dark beer joint, so we drove to Happy Cafe and it was closed due to refrigerator was broken. We eventually went to Creekside Cafe where we live in Lexington SC. Bob and Mary Anne Britts
We've got a lot of great places for Italian fare in Kansas City -- but this is easily the best I've had in Johnson county. The food is excellent, the decor is attractive, and the location is especially convenient when I don't want to go far from home.Don't let the fact that this place is attached to a hotel fool you -- it's well worth a visit.
