Good stuff here

Wonderful experience. Lovely gift shop, friendly and helpful staff, and yummy sandwiches (I've tried chicken salad and egg salad so far). It has become one of my new go-to spots for a delicious and reasonably priced lunch!

Delicious cake, but pretentious and unfriendly staff.

I bought a whole coconut cake for a family celebration. It was perfect! Old fashioned dense cake with plenty of not too sweet icing. Order ahead to be sure there's one for you!

This place is so nice & food is great!!! Everyone is nice & helpful & you can find great things to use in the kitchen. The cake & pie i picked up was wonderful.

It was a really nice place , lots of funny stuff and all kinds of goodies. The only negative thing is that it is a little pricey.. that's why 4 stars, the place itself is great.

While visiting my friend for Christmas in the Columbia area, she got a desire for gingerbread cookies. After a Google search we decided on Kudzu bakery despite it being a considerable distance away. We called first to verify they had gingerbread cookies on hand and they kindly offered to put some aside for us. We browsed the market when we got there and it is a very lovely store. The staff was also friendly. We bought 8 cookies and it was $22. When we got home we were shocked to find small, cute, but identical, mass produced cookies. They were dry, crunchy, and tasteless. They were not made on site and Kudzu Bakery should be ashamed of selling such a product. $2.50 a cookie! I wouldn't pay $2.50 a box for them in a major grocery market. This was my first and last visit.

ADDENDUM: I did take the owner up on her offer of a refund. They cheerfully complied and I'm very happy about it.

This bakery is a hidden gem! My daughter wanted brownies and google led us here. It’s definitely more than a bakery! We loved our sweet treats and the store is so cute! Well definitely be back

Quintessential southern market- large selection of baked goods as well as take-and-bake fare. Lovely market shop as well, rows and rows of goodies to explore! Will be back! (Indulged in a cinnamon roll to share!)

If this shop had 10 stars I would give it to them each time we visit Columbia we definitely try and make this a planned stop. Always great things to buy. Staff is super helpful and nice. We always leave with a bag of goodies and, most times, a gift or two for friends. It's always refreshing these days to shop places where the staff is genuinely glad you are shopping with them, they are getting harder and harder to find. Kudzu Bakery & Market is a true gem.
