The Original Pancake House - Columbia

First time here with my family after Drill School Graduation and it was fantastic. Great food, great atmosphere, and we had the best server. I wish I remembered her name, but she was great and had such a great spirit with our Georgia Bulldog banter. 🏈🐾 Def recommend and would love to come back again when we are in the area in the future. #godawgs

There were no Afican American pictures displayed anywhere. It felt unwelcoming. Seems like they are going backwards. Jin

Party of 10 no problem

This is a good place for breakfast and lunch. The menu is limited with a focus on pancakes as the foundation of meals. The omelets are baked, which gives a different presentation. They have some specialty meals that are worth trying. I suggest checking out the online menu prior to going to the restaurant.

Very friendly staff, large menu of options, and food is all cooked to order and served hot! There’s a wait to be seated due to how popular this location is but they do their best to seat you quickly. There was another wait from when we ordered to when we received the food because of how busy the kitchen is but it was worth it with how delicious it was and how large the portions are. They are very flexible in adjusting menu items to your requests so the entire menu is pretty much customizable. Definitely stop in for a large hot meal :)

The food is consistently good and served hot . Beverages kept refilled. This particular visit, 2 days before Christmas at 9 AM, we waited to be seated and then waited 40 minutes for our food to be served. We were told that the quiche had not come out of the oven yet. It was very busy and noisy, not unexpected, so close to the holiday. Our server was attentive and friendly.

PANCAKE??! This was not a pancake unless you need to retrain everyone else on making them. The Apple Pancake I would describe more as an apple cinnamon roll. It would also make a great dessert dish with some ice cream. Everyone's food looked really good and the waiter was having a rough day but he still gave great service.

In spite of the fact we were there at a very busy time this location was able to seat and serve everyone graciously and in a timely. Manor. Our friendly server checked by and refilled beverage glasses frequently. Every one seemed to be happy. The restroom was clean. Prices were fair. Food was excellant... strongly recommend.
