The Original Pancake House - Columbia

Was told to just tell the waitress what we wanted and they would blend order into two meals. I order 2 eggs, sausage and French toast. My wife ordered 2 eggs and sausage. The waitress said fruit came with it, free. Got the bill, $33.00 after tax, with a military discount. $40:00 with tip. WOW, didn't want to create a fuss, however, never again for us! Not paying $20.00 for a simple eggs, sausage and French toast breakfast.

The Original Pancake House in Columbia is fantastic! The breakfast was tasty and delicious. Best eggs and grits. Very large menu with tons of options. Sandy our server was very friendly and helpful. Southern charm and service at its best. Hard to find a better breakfast spot... A+

I usually eat here for lunch with my family on sundays and we always enjoy our visit. This time was much different, the host was rude and condescending. When i asked why the waitlist kept changing in number she cut me off and tried to make me feel stupid. She was neither empathic nor patient enough to listen to what i had to say. I will never recommend this restaurant or come to visit again. i can’t believe this is who they choose to be the face of the restaurant.

I'm a customer. Been there twice. They will skimp you on serving size and your coffee. Go to IHOP. You'll be happier. Food here isn't any better.

This place is one of my favorite spots in Columbia! I’ve been coming here for years and the food is amazing. Everything I’ve tried so far has been fantastic. The staff are very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The atmosphere has a very homey and family-friendly vibe. The food is well priced as well. If you’re looking for a place for breakfast or brunch, I highly recommend this spot!

Visited for brunch on Saturday, had a 45 minute wait which I figure is probably normal. Our waitress was great, friendly and socialble. Very menu to selections. Food was good the Apple Pancake had the consistency and even some flavor of a quiche, it was eggs, but not bad, it was served piping hot and came out before all other food. Which meant our eggs were warm but not hot. Everything else was very good, the bacon lovers meal and the chocolate chip pancakes with strawberries were great. Overall, it was a lot of food and very good, we wil visit again in the future!

The food was very good, no complaints. The restaurant needs to be remodeled. It looks like a really old diner. Very busy. My only complaint is I waitlisted online and when the designated time went by, I went in to inquire and they told me even if you waitlist online you still need to come in and check in in person. To me that defeats the purpose of online wait- listing. Because of this, it took us an hour to get in from time of waitlist until seated. Also, our server forgot to put our order in so we had to wait extra long for the food. Luckily, the food was good.
