Top Dawg Tavern - Columbia, SC

My family used to really enjoy this place. It’s good food and family friendly. However in the last few months the atmosphere has gone downhill. We’ve routinely been turned away because of outrageous wait times when there are several empty tables. Saturday night it took almost an hour to get our food when tables around us were seated, ate their food and left. Until this changes, we will not be back.

Food was good can get really busy at lunch.

Me and my friend were seated after waiting for 10 minutes. After being seated we waited for someone to serve us another 20 minutes. Still know one came to wait on us. We complaint to the young lady at the front counter and she didn’t acknowledge us either. So we left. We frequent this establishment often but I don’t think we will be coming back again. Horrible experience

Customer service in the beginning the customer service was ok, but in the end, I had to flag an employee down to check on my food. Also, my food was not good the rice was hard to eat.

I genuinely need to ask—who on earth is handling your quality control at Top Dawg Tavern? Seriously, what’s going on in that kitchen? I came in hungry, thinking, “You know what, buffalo chicken dip is a safe choice. How bad could it be?” Oh boy, was I wrong.

The dish you served me was an absolute mess. Instead of the usual creamy, shredded buffalo chicken dip, what I got was this bizarre concoction with an entire layer of unshredded chicken chunks just sitting there. Look at the pictures disgusting. It’s like someone didn’t even try. It’s buffalo chicken dip—how do you screw that up this badly?

I’ve seen elementary school kids produce better meals in their home economics classes. This was beyond disappointing, borderline insulting to anyone who cares about food. Please, for the sake of future customers, revisit your kitchen practices and spare others from this nonsense.

Always love going to Top Dawg Tavern. The menu is easy to read over without a million items on the menu with 15 pages, no, you get the one page, front and back. Perfect! Everything on that menu is great. The service is always top notch. Don't have to worry about scantily clad women trying to distract you from mediocre food. The staff is super friendly and always helpful. The food speaks volumes for itself. I'm pretty picky but herr, I'll eat anything from the menu. Never an issue with anything. Always clean, even the bathroom. Can't ask for much better than here!

Stopped in for dinner this evening. Ordered a few items off the menu. For starters I had the Buffalo Chicken Dip. I also ordered a side Tavern Salad, and an order of Fries. To go I ordered a 10 piece mild Wings. All of the food was delicious, and the atmosphere, and service at the bar was exceptional!

The staff was great, the food was great but they could turn down the music. You can't carry on a conversation without hollering, way too loud.

Two stars just because the food is good but I feel they have had a staff change because now every time I come it takes over an hour to get your drinks and food if dinning in. The food is great but plan on spending at least an hour and half here from start to finish . They are becoming slower and slower everytime I come, I’m only keep coming because the food is good but the service is definitely not what it used to be it’s a shame.
