“⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5 Review – Sonic Drive-In, Darlington, SC Visited around 5 PM on a Friday, and I understand that’s a peak time—things were definitely busy. Stalls 1–8 were full, and while stalls 9 & 10 are marked for mobile pickup, the app wouldn’t recognize them. Stalls 11–14 were hit-or-miss (maybe two working), also full, and the drive-thru had a line. With my party of 3, we decided to sit at the picnic tables and checked in on the app using stall #15. It’s July in South Carolina, so please consider adding a fan out there—it’s hot. We waited 30 minutes before a team member finally came out and asked if we had ordered. I let her know I ordered via the app and checked in as stall 15. She asked for the details of the order and went back inside. She returned fairly quickly, which leads me to believe our food had probably been ready for 10–15 minutes. Our meals were room temperature, and our slushies and cream cooler were sadly melted by the time we got them. Was everything edible? Yes. The Big Dill Double Sonic Smasher was actually really good. But it’s frustrating to order ahead via the app, check in, and still wait 30 minutes before anyone acknowledges the order. We’ll give Sonic another shot, but I strongly encourage management to take a look at staffing levels and mobile order support—especially on peak times. Don’t cut corners where customer service is concerned.“

“obviously the place is amazing my mom spends $50+ a week here. this is only my second time going to the florence location and i have no complaints. the cookies were actually good and not under cooked like other places. my ONLY issue would be the customer service. staff isn’t friendly at all..“

“It was a little loud the last time that I was in. I had only been there during the day previously to pick up a birthday cake, but it was super busy at night.The ice cream is very good, but you can plan on await every single time that you go in in the evening. The staff is nice, but nothing happens quickly.“

“So I have eaten here 2 times. The Chicken nuggies and chicken wrap is sooo good! The nuggies were so crispy. The zucchini fries are really good too with the sauce they give you on the side. I got some Chocolate chip cookies and OMGosh!! Great place to get some healthy food!“

“Kiyah was so sweet and helped us so much! This was our first time here and she helped us with any questions and gave great recommendations! The custard was SO GOOD we got the strawberry cheesecake, Dr Pepper shake and the turtle shake. All 3 were truly 10/10! The fries are good and the burger were yummy too will totally be nice. But truly great service makes everything better and the service was exceptional!“

“My family stopped here on our way home from Florida to New Jersey. What a wonderful experience!!! The Assistant Manager was the best, most efficient employee a company could ask for. So polite and respectful in his demeanor towards all of us. My husband couldn't stop raving about the burgers and I loved the pulled pork sandwich. The pickles and onion added to the unique taste of the sandwich. As always, our 3 children loved their DQ children's meals. Hope we can stop here again when we are back in the area! Very clean, too!“
