Daufuskie Island Distillery

Daufuskie Island Distillery is one of our favorite spots on the island. The Blueberry Lavender Hair of the Dog is a must-try — truly delicious and unique. It’s also our go-to for the best lunch on Daufuskie. Great drinks, great food, and a gorgeous place to spend time!

Charming tasting room with a very knowledgeable owner/distiller. Tasty and natural flavored alcohol. We purchased a bottle of vanilla rum. Idyllic setting. Saw a small alligator swimming in the pond.

Went for a tour of the island and ended up at the distillery. Brought 2 flights of their vodka and the blue lavender was so smooth. Had lunch from the restaurant and the shrimp tacos were the best. Enjoyed my visit.

The food from the joint was fantastic. Shrimp po boy was amazing, and pimento cheeseburger was unreal. The atmosphere of the place was lovely with the view of a pond. Only let down was the spirits. Had a flight of 3 rumss. I'm not going to sit here and pretend I'm some rum expert, but it is my go to liquor of choice have sipped many different brand neat and mixed. There rums was kind of undrinkable straight. No sweetness, no layer of flavours, just straight burn like I was drinking methylated spirits

We came out for a weekend and actually wound up coming here twice. The drinks are amazing. If it's warm out go with the Frozen drink because it is worth it. Of course we bought a few bottles to bring home because they were so good. Everybody was extremely friendly and willing to talk us through anything. We got to sample and enjoy ourselves and just sit outside and look at the beautiful view. I know they have food there but unfortunately we got there too late both days to try any food. I'm not going to complain cuz we had enough drinks to take care of that need.

Always a great time. A must see when you come to the island. The food is awesome and the drinks are fantastic. What a cool place. Definitely stop by.

Very cool place! We finally made it a priority to boat over to Daufuskie and rent a golf cart to tour the island. It did not disappoint! We planned our ride to hit the Distillery for Rum and Bourbon tasting, and we’re pleased with the spirts, and equally pleased with the food! The Steak and Cheese was top 5 on my book, and I know my son was extremely happy with his blackened shrimp po boy. Definitely bringing friends and family here! Kristy was so nice and made you feel good to be there! Thank you, AL and Kelly

Overpriced, the staff is inflexible, and they were rude to my wife. We will not be back, I would echo the sentiments of others that the old Daufuskie crab company up at Freeport is pretty good and the staff is much friendlier.

Finally got a chance last night to have dinner here and it was amazing! Entrees were perfectly cooked and presented well. Beth is an amazing cook and her love for cooking shows in her food! Table service was also excellent and all the staff was very kind.

The drinks were amazing! Great staff!
