Paige at the bar makes every visit awesome! Fantastic cocktails, phenomenal food and great location…nothing but good times every time we head to Pressleys.
This was our worst dining experience EVER! We were seated at the bar, and to start off with we were told that we couldn’t get tea at the bar (and we were told that with the worst attitude, which got worse when we were confused by this policy). Then, since the bartender was being rude to us, and the bar was noisy, we simply asked the hostess if we could be sat at a table once one was available…should be a simple ask, since it’s common to do at most restaurants. Well, the bartender came over to where we were waiting for the table (the hostess had told us she was setting it up), and rudely told us that we are not allowed to leave the bar once we have ordered at the bar. We did not know this policy and were not once politely explained this policy (and have never been in a restaurant with this policy). Then when we went back to the bar and complained to our bar neighbors about how rude we were treated, the bartender just started yelling about how we could just leave if we were going to be disrespectful. (We were honestly in shock…we are usually a fairly mild-mannered couple and really just wanted to have a nice evening together). When we complained about her yelling at us, we were only given the option to take our food to go. We were also told by the manager (who wasn’t even there) that she wasn’t yelling, she was “talking firmly”, but in my book if you raise your voice to me I call that yelling, and then once we got home with our food, my food was missing one of the sides. Luckily, the manager comped our dinner, but that was done with an attitude as well. I will never go back there! It ruined a perfectly good date night and put a bad memory on the end of our beach getaway.
Best bartender ever!!!😆🍺🍷
Fresh seafood and tasty. Portions not generous. Great service.

Was disappointed in the service. I attempted to get take out from this restaurant. I was asked to hold, which I was willing to do. However after 15 minutes of listening to the woman talk on and off to someone I gave up. Enjoyed the she crab soup the last time I went and was disappointed I couldn't have service this time.

Don't go to this restaurant in a group bigger than four. The food was very good but the billing is ridiculous. We had a group of 14 the bill came and there was no way to decipher what had been billed. It was not on an individual order basis it was broken into halves.
Busy but worth the wait! A great family-owned business with friendly staff and delicious food

Diner food at fancy restaurant prices. Baked potato was old and grouper lacked to say the least

Wonderful seafood restaurant with classic nautical motif and excellent views of the water and Eastern sunsets. Dining is upstairs or during the tourist season outside on the deck. We ate there twice during our 5 day vacation at Edisto Beach. Both nights were exceptional meals and service. My wife and I split the fare and left absolutely satisfied and not wanting. We shared a seafood platter with tender, succulent scallops, broiled, tasty Edisto River shrimp, lightly breaded fried clams with a baked potato, and surprisingly the star of the show: lima beans cooked Southern style in bacon fat with ham hoc. Off the chart GOOD! On our second visit we shared two crab cakes in a smear of house reoumelade, a sweet potato, and again the Lima beans, which was even better than the night before. Both evenings we enjoyed a bowl of She Crab Soup that was sumptuous. I would easily say the best prepared meals in the island.

So disappointed. I’ve eaten many times at Presleys over the years and at Sunset Grill before that. Tonight I called at 8:40 wanting a bowl of SheCrab soup to go and was refused. They closed early (8:30). The internet says they close at 9:00. This is my last night and i begged them to sell me a bowl of their very expensive SheCrab soup. Unapologetically I was told “we are closed”click.

Wife and I went on a date here. Staff were very nice, good atmosphere, food was really good, with large portions, something rarely seen in the seafood world. My shrimp and scallops were great. Shrimp Alfredo was delicious as well. We'll be back!
