The Local’s Pizzeria

Went to the beach to see the sunset tonight while celebrating the Xmas holiday in Edisto, which has become our family tradition. On a whim, stopped by Locals and ordered a cheese pie at the window. Drove around the island looking at the beautifully decorated homes and holiday lights, and then got a prompt text AND call 15 minutes later to let me know it was done. Picked it up and was even asked if it looked good to me and met expectations. It did! It was cooked perfectly, the crust was just enough thickness but not too dough-like, the cheese to sauce ratio was on point, and our family devoured it. No leftovers! 10/10 would recommend.

Got there early to wait for my pizza. They were very nice about it, and even offered me a drink. The pizza came out early, and was delicious. Surprisingly met a lot of Vol fans eating there too.

Pizza was delicious and was ready 15 minutes prior to schedule! I got a text when it was ready to pick up. Technically I ordered a supreme and got the sizzlin Seabrook but it was good anyways, so long as you like spicy pizza. We also got the Italian!

We wanted something different than seafood and decided on pizza. We called to make sure they were open. It was just a very short drive from our cottage. We called in advance to order and waited the said time before going to pick up. Payment is expected in advance which was fine for us. Evidently people have a habit of ordering and not picking up so (to me) this is the perfect solution to keep this place running smoothly. The owner was extremely nice to my son on the phone. We had two large pizzas and each were soooooo good. There is a lot of cheese on top and lots of toppings. It was one of our best meals in Edisto ( we usually cook our own) and there was a coin toss to see who got the left over pizza. Great food. (I think it is takeout only - my son picked up so not sure....).

Wanted a night off from cooking while on our family beach vacation, and Local’s was just a couple blocks from our house. Great choice - ordering was easy, got finished quickly, and the pizzas themselves were awesome. Always nice when pizza isn’t cigarette-ash encrusted wood fired bogus that are everywhere these days. These are just good, classic pizzas. Lots of cheese, lots of toppings, generous slices. We got supreme, pepperoni, and cheese, and fed 10 or so. Save yourself the trouble and drop by Local’s on your next trip down.

Online ordering was very simple. Pizza was very good and ready right on time. Staff was very friendly, asked me to check my order before I left, which I appreciated.

So I ordered at 5:05 pm on line, was told 70 min. got there at 6:15 and was told in the oven and we will text you when its ready. I was sitting in my car due to heat and never got a text. The person at the window could see me sitting there. at 7:00 I went to the window ans asked about our order and was told "I texted you" I showed my phone and said never got a text so he showed me his and said see I texted you. I got my $43. cheese pizza and meatball sub. It was not hot and the pizza was almost raw in the center. No sorry or anything. We live here and will not be back.

Incompetent employees memorial day weekend, they ran out of dough Saturday and Sunday by 7 pm and ready to leave. We love the pizza but they clearly are not in business to make money.

When I first saw a few not so great reviews, I almost didn't go here, but boy am I happy I did! This was the BEST pizza I've had in a LONG time and definitely the best I've had on the island! Now that I'm back home, I'm craving it again! Way to go Locals!

We visited The Local’s Pizzeria during a trip to Edisto Beach. We ordered the Edisto Supreme and Sizzlin’ Seabrook. Both pizzas were excellent!

This was our first visit. Our pizza was very good and the Greek salad was spectacular. This will now be a must-do when we are here.
