First time visitor to edista and we tried this place for dinner. We ordered mixed drinks, appetizers , and entrees. It was all just……. bad. The waitress got just about everything wrong. The mixed drinks were terrible. She brought out the appetizers with the entrees……. after an hour of watching others seated after us get their appetizers. The Jamaican wings had a light dusting of jerk seasoning and tasted more like cinnamon. The “popular” prime rib sandwich was small, unimaginative , and oversalted. It’s literally just bread, meat, and cheese. The salad had the wrong dressing. The island needs better restaurants, in general. They are all bad by any objective measure, but this was a particularly bad and expensive place. 4 adults and 2 kids…… $250. We could have got a better meal at ANY chain fast food restaurant for less than half the price.

Fried oysters were outstanding. Crab cake was very nice. Fish and shrimp were average. Craft beer selection was very sparse but passable. Nice dive bar atmosphere. Soup was yummy too.

The place was nice and the staff was great. I ordered the prime rib sandwich and there was more bun than meat.Wife got the crab cake and she enjoyed it.

Stopped here with a group of 8 family members for a late Sunday lunch. Staff was busy with all the patrons during the Sunday lunch rush so our plates came out at all different times. Many enjoyed their sandwiches and the ‘raw’ fries and the kids meals were satisfactory. However, there are very few gluten free-friendly items due to majority of items being battered/fried (so I ended up with a salad).Dietary restrictions: No cashews/pistachios at the time we went. However, there are very few gluten free friendly items.Kid-friendliness: Great standard kids meal menu with options for games/crossword on the back.

Unfortunately, we had a new server. She got everything wrong. They were busy, so service was very slow. Nice day, so we had a lot of patience. Once we ordered, she forgot to bring drinks. When she did, she brought a soda instead of beer. Ordered fries, but burger came with chips. Burger showed up raw. Beer selection was limited, but the Whaley Paley was OK. Not many options on the island, so not sure If we will visit again. If in the area, check out Driftwood Beach at low tide.

Food was decent. Service was awful. We showed up and there were outside tables and a waitress serving another table. She turned and looked at us, and I waved and motioned to the table we were going to sit at. She didn't say a word and went to talk to another table. She came back outside twice and never said a word to us or even looked in our direction. After 15 minutes of no service, I went inside and asked for menus. The woman at the bar gave them to me and said she would send someone right out. Another 5 minutes and she came out and paid more attention to new arrivals than us! Really? She finally took our orders and brought us drinks. By the time our food arrived, my beer was low and she offered to bring another. I agreed...it never came, and she offered to bring it when she brought the check. No thanks. I normally tip above 20%. In this case, 5% was generous. Sorry, but...we won't be going back. The food wasn't worth that poor of service.

Sushi nachos are to die for as well as round man platter (not crazy about crab cakes as they are not MD style!)-otherwise nothing disappoints! Great bloody Mary’s!
