I had a lovely dinner at high tides. The restaurant is very nice and welcoming. it has a great view of the water and the food was very good. I had the fried shrimp with mac and cheese and collard greens. it was delicious. my server was wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant when you come to Edisto!
Grouper is my go to fish. Its hard to make grouper not good. but this restaurant pulled it off. Overseasoned, over salted uneditable. This should be their signature dish instead it was 36.00 x 2 that ended up in trash can .but macaroni and cheese was good if you want crusted grouper that's worth the drive drive , go to PRESSLEY'S for one of the best crusted grouper around. ..... . so two trash can crusted grouper, macaroni and cheese one drink water and a tea ....read full review

High Tides Restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with a variety of dishes. The menu includes Pimento pork chop, pecan pork chop, tomato pie, and Parmesan Groper. The restaurant is associated with the Flowers family seafood business, ensuring top-quality food. The atmosphere is small and crowded but welcoming. Guests can enjoy the island way of cooking. The fried shrimp and mac & cheese are amazing. The boiled peanuts, palmetto Rockefeller oysters, and cornbread are all excellent choices. However, some dishes like the grouper can be overseasoned and oversalted, and the pasta and steamed oysters are not prepared correctly. The macaroni can be extremely bland. It is recommended to arrive early because the wait times can get long.
