We live in Spartanburg SC and Whaley’s is a must “go to” when we come to Edisto, which is usually 4 or 5 times a year. I was looking over the reviews just for kicks and saw a few 1 star reviews. These reviewers just don’t get it. It’s sad for the people that don’t get Whaley’s. It is one of mine and my wife’s happy places. We “get it” and always leave with plans to return on our next visit. Thanks Whaley’s!
Wow great food. Very fresh local shrimp and oyster fried in canila oil. Crab cake sandwich was tasty 2. Generous portions. Cant wait to go back.

My wife and I were recently visiting Edisto Beach. We had been to this seafood establishment during a previous visit and had talked about why we weren't impressed. Cold and hungry, we decided to grab a bowl of Shrimp/Crab Bisque soup and give this place a second attempt. After our server took our drink orders, we quickly remembered why we didn't particularly care for this restaurant. THEY CHARGE $2.95 FOR A BOTTLE OF WATER!!!There are no other options for obtaining...
