“Hidden gem. We almost tried everything on the menu. Beef empanada, chicken arepa’s, fish taco, steak taco, carne asada fries, rice & beans, guacamole and all the salsas. They have a salsa bar with about 6 different salsas with varying degrees of heat. I like spicy but just their mild was so flavorful. I will be back!“

“I emailed them about my mobility situation and asked if they could bring the pizza to my truck. Not only did they respond within the hour, when I got there, they came out multiple times and made me feel like a appreciation customer. This is one of many reasons we drive passed several other pizza places, in rush hour traffic.“

“This place isn't bad. They have really fresh and light ingredients. The quality of the salmon and tuna is really good, and they have a nice variety.
But, it did take me trying this place 3 or 4 times before actually get something that I like, and I think its because the poke sauce just isn't good and it comes on every thing. So if you don't like it the first time try it without the poke sauce next time.

“My family was going through bereavement and we just needed to get together and enjoy one another. We laugh through our pain so we decided on a cousins outing at Captain Steve. When I tell you that staff was simply amazing. “The food quality and flavors at this restaurant are excellent. I visited for the weekend buffet breakfast and was very pleased with the variety and taste of the dishes. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and enjoyable.

The only downside was the use of Styrofoam bowls and cups for hot food and beverages. Styrofoam is not only harmful to the environment, but it’s also not ideal for health — especially when used with hot foods and drinks. It would be much better if the restaurant considered compostable or other alternatives.

Overall, a great dining experience with amazing food. I hope management will look into more eco-friendly and health-friendly serving options.“

“My daughter had her first prom this past weekend. I live out of state but I wanted to make sure her night was special. I spoke with Lynn Allen (general manager) she walked me thru buying a gift card and I was able to surprise my daughter and her date with dinner covered. Lynn (and the hostess I spoke with) were so friendly and helpful! My daughter said her dinner was amazing and can’t wait to visit again! So refreshing to have such friendly and professional staff to communicate with!“

“My wife and I stopped here Friday night before dinner at a nearby restaurant. Friday and Saturday nights get very crowded but we were fortunate to grab 2 seats at the bar which is rather small. They specialize in MANY types of wine, craft beers and sangria. I’m had the Gailic Ale and an Oktoberfest, my wife had the red sangria. The atmosphere is that of a boutique book shop/winery. They offer a small selection of small bites that looked delicious. Very cool place . Prices were fair and we look forward to going back.“

“The Plated Palette was at a CrossFit competition that took place once per week for three weeks in a row. In theory, my children and I went to support loved ones in the competition, but I think everyone knew we were really there for the quesadillas (I’m only half kidding…). Everything we ordered was delicious, prepared quickly, and as warm as the energy with which it was served. Hope we continue to see you around town!“

“I went to Hobo's last night for a friend's birthday. We sat outside for karaoke. I have wanted to sing karaoke for awhile but I've always been way too nervous!! DJ Swin (please tag him!) did such an awesome job at hyping up the audience AND the singers! it didn't matter what your singing ability was he made you feel great about getting up there! People were being silly and having fun which is what karaoke is all about! So when my hubby asked me to sing with him I did! I got up there and actually had a lot of fun. I brought my daughter to try Indian food, after church today and she was hooked as soon as she melted the fresh aromas when we walked through the door. Everything was simply amazing. “My first time getting Toppers Pizza, a pizza chain out of Wisconsin. We picked up one of each crust type (hand tossed, thin and pan) to see what we liked best. The 3 topping Large for $9.99 is a pretty good deal that they have going right now.

We all agreed that the hand tossed was the best crust type. Pan was a little on the dense side, I honestly thought I was going to like that one the best.

Cheesebread was pretty good, but I like the dipping sauces from other chains better.

“At the pineville barnyard flea market this is ine of my go to places to eat breakfast . The break fast is always delicious and always more than enough to fill you up. Great prices , friendly people eager to help. They also serve burgers and mexican food. What ever you would like. Open Friday and Saturday at the flea market.“

“My family and I ate at Hanako last night, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We ordered miso and hot soups along with several rolls — spicy salmon, spicy tuna, volcano, dragon, and the Hanako roll. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.

Even though the restaurant was short-staffed, our food arrived on time, and the staff remained attentive. The bathrooms were also very clean, which I appreciate. The only drawback for me was that the lighting was a little dim.

Overall, Hanako serves the best sushi in the Indian Land area. When I’m craving sushi locally, this is my go-to spot!“

“My wife and I made reservations this past Friday. We were seated immediately at a very comfortable table. We had cocktails beforehand but noticed their lounge is spacious , we will be sure to have pre dinner drinks there next time. Our server was very attentive and helpful with menu choices. There happened to be the YOCO Trail week w/ special menu items at several restaurants in the area. So we were able to each choose an appetizer, entree and dessert for $35 each. We had the tortillas with lobster dip, a strawberry salad and they served warm bread with a tomato and olive oil sauce. I ordered shrimp and grits and my wife had the salmon. We also chose the key lime pie and chocolate mousse cake. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!!! We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!“

“Me and my friend were out a little late wanting to reward ourselves after some hard work earlier in the evening. We were happy to find that this location was open later and we would be able to sit down in the restaurant to eat.

I don't drink alcohol and usually would choose to sit in the regular restaurant section but it was closed and only the bar area was available. Honestly though I'm still just thankful there was somewhere to sit and eat without having to drive back home first.

I split a pizza with my friend and he ordered 10 wings half were garlic parmesan, half were Buffalo mild. He did let me try one of the buffalo wings and they were definitely good, but the pizza was definitely the star of the show.

We are both food people with constant cravings, but hate cooking. The Pizza is definitely worth going back for even though this location is the 23 minute drive one way for us. He had also ordered a cannoli dessert and this location has them made to order. We were both super content and happy we gave this place a try.
