“We needed lunch and Subway always has healthy options. So we took the exit off the highway to get lunch here. The 3 ladies behind the counter on 10/11/25 were a wonderful team. Two made our sandwich and one rang up our sandwich. They were friendly and efficient. They really started our lunch off on a positive note!

The place is clean, comfortable and quiet. The sandwich was delicious. We are so glad we stopped here for lunch!”

“We just happened upon here today after going to Ladson for an eye appointment. We wanted some good BBQ. The BBQ chicken was wonderful, definitely can taste the smoke, mac and cheese was real mac and cheese. Green beans flavored very well and the seasoned rice was on time. My daddy got a 1/2 rack of ribs and slaw. Of course I had to taste the ribs and I’m glad I did! Tender, meaty and could taste the smoke again! Ended up bringing home a whole smoked chicken. Highly recommend eating here! Facility was clean and staff super nice! 100%!”

“Excellent BBQ as well as Hash&Rice. The ladies were super sweet and helpful. For "connoisseurs", the sauce is a delightfully tangy tomato/vinegar blend. I had the small plate, my husband some sandwiches. Portions were generous and filling. The Alice Dr location is open Wed thru Sunday. Others are open over the weekend. They do take credit/debit cards, at least at this location. Read about Ward's in The State paper of Columbia. 1st Place Winner with over 20000 votes as best BBQ of the Midlands. Runner up won 17000+ votes. The reason I mark it a 4 is NOT why you go to a BBQ place. But the slaw and potato salad were not up to par. To be honest, I've never been a fan of slaw, and grew up on German style potato salad. I thought both were quite bland, and the dressing very soupy. My husband, after we got home and had some from the tubs we bought, agreed. (Slaw fan). I'd definitely go back for BBQ and hash&rice. Yum!”
