“My Son treated me to a wonderful Mothers Day treat at The Independent! We began with Aperol spritzs from the bar, which were wonderful. We then ordered the oysters on the half shell and the devilled eggs with fried oyster. Both were excellent. Then we had the blackened flounder with andouille sausage and lump crab pileau with lemon beurre monte. The was also fried okra on the side. It was all phenomenal! To finish we had the Apple Pandowdy with vanilla ice cream. Perfect finish to a wonderful meal!”

“LOVE cantina! It is one of our go to spots in Georgetown. The staff definitely go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need and the food is spectacular! You can always bet that there are going to be several specials on the menu that you just can’t decide between because they all sound so delicious. Last night I got the chicken and red rice bowl and WOW! To say it was amazing would be an understatement. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“(wrote this review on Google as well) Eve's is what I call local food and service you DO write home about. I'll say, back home, there's no establishments like her restaurant. Loved the place so much we couldn't stop talking and thinking about it after the first visit. We came back a 2nd time the same week before I had to fly back home. Tried about half the menu from the j*** chicken, curry goat, curry oxtail, and ribs. Don't forget about the sides! Collard greens, candied yams, plaintains, potato salad, chicken rice, corn bread. Ginger tea, lemonade. Pound cake. Peach cobbler. D E L I C I O U S. The portions were all just right for the price and the food is really packing with flavor. Favorites are definitely the j*** chicken, chicken rice, and plaintains, corn bread was the perfect type of sweet! To really top it off, we really adored Eve and her staff. Absolutely friendly and kind folks!!! If I could, I'd order her food to get shipped to me in my state. Thank you Eve and staff for such an incredible experience and we look forward to coming back again when I'm in town. If you're someone Googling this restaurant debating to come in, you should really give them a try!!!”

“Loved this place. Great stop on my way to Charleston. Coffee was delicious and the iced coffees came with a big cube of frozen Kona coffee so when it melted the coffee wasn’t diluted. The barista was so friendly and nice. Will stop by again!

My favorite is the Burrito Supreme without sour cream; which is one beef and one chicken burrito covered with cheese, lettuce, tomato and a side of rice. My comfort food!!!

“every since I first bought a Hunt Brothers pizza I was sold to deliciousness. I worked for pizza hut at the time and the second time I bought a Hunt Brothers pizza I told the clerks at the store the pizza to me is better than Pizza Hut. then I seen the sign in the window and found out Hunt Brothers has breakfast pizza and it's been a little over four years now and Hunt Brothers pizza is all I buy. what I love is taste, quality, price and fact the toppings don't cost extra. keep up the good work and keep the customers happy. They let me park my RV. In the field behind the lodge, no hookups of any kind but a legal place to park.”

“Liked the combo meals priced high for smaller portions. Mostly dry fried rice, but large shrimp and tender roast pork. Regular egg rolls sucked but the shrimp egg rolls appear to be fresh made and good.”
