Placed an order online, was staying at hotel next door. When I arrived at my designated pickup time, the restaurant was closed, handwritten paper on window saying so! How they even let an online order go through when they were temporarily closed is beyond me. I have been calling and fighting to get my money back for food I never received since April. I do not recommend. They should be going out of their way to refund me, the amount of time I have spent on this is unbelievable. Terrible customer service and very dishonest. Next stop is credit card company and a chargeback. Please Basil Thai respond to me, you know my name and have my info.

BEST BASIL EVER! All thanks to our server Samantha! She was so kind to us even though we came in 40 minutes before closing. She was sweet and when one of us left our card at the table before leaving she ran blocks to find us and give it back! 10/10 service, thanks Samantha.
Additionally, this Basil is much cheaper than our hometown Basil. Keep those cheap prices up- or should I say down?!

The waitress, Kathy, was excellent because the food was tasteless. She tried her best to get the cook to prepare the dishes properly. The cook had to make our entree twice but still was tasteless. The chicken was flavorless. All the entrees and the soup were lacking flavor, spice and salt. I wouldn’t recommend this place until they get a new cook, especially for the price of each item. Don’t waste your money here.

Our waitress Kathy was awesome and very helpful, but the food was really bad and tasteless. It was not cooked properly and the cooks messed up 3 out of the 4 dishes that we ordered. The management needs to change the cook if they really want to survive. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Food was absolutely awful. My Pad See Ew was drenched in sticky syrup - way more than necessary. Inedible. Disgusting. Guest service was laughable. They came by to take and bring the order. NOTHING in between. I had to find someone to ask for a check and she looked at me like I have 4 heads. I’m not coming back and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place.

I got takeout pad see eu and it was PERFECT. The interior has a nice atmosphere and the staff was friendly and professional, so I'll be sure to dine in next time.
I've had trouble finding good thai food since I moved here, but THIS IS THE PLACE!

DO NOT RELY ON A RESERVATION. Cancelled our reservation almost a week after we placed it, no attempt to contact us to let us know why or reschedule, just an automated email saying it was cancelled, with no explanation. Called the restaurant and they’re not open at that hour on that day and the gent with whom I spoke admitted they just cancel these reservations instead of correcting the hours available.

One of the waiters kept reaching into his shirt to scratch himself and then went straight back to serving which was pretty unsanitary

Basil Thai has become one of my go-to spots in Greenville, and for good reason. The consistency alone sets it apart. No matter when I visit, the food, service, and atmosphere all hit the mark.

I almost always order the Pad Prik along with the Basil Rolls for an appetizer, and both dishes are reliably excellent. The Pad Prik has a rich, fragrant depth to it, with just the right balance of heat and flavor, and the Basil rolls are fresh, bright, and perfectly paired with the sweet chili dipping sauce. Portions are more than generous, enough to leave full and still have a bit to take home, which is always a plus.

The service is consistently great as well. Staff are attentive without hovering, friendly without being overbearing, and they keep everything moving smoothly even on busy nights. It’s the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like your business is genuinely appreciated.

The atmosphere adds to the experience. Warm lighting, comfortable seating, and an inviting layout make it feel a step above the usual casual dining scene. Whether you’re grabbing a quick meal or settling in for a relaxed dinner, it just works.

All around, Basil Thai stands out as one of the better Thai restaurants in Greenville. It’s reliable, delicious, and well worth the visit, every single time.

I first tried this restaurant three years ago and would have given it a perfect 5/5. I don't know what happened, but the food quality has changed. While the service was good, the flavor was lacking. The dishes didn't taste like authentic Thai food.

Update your times on your website. It says on Saurday you open at 4, but they dont. The door says they don't open until 5. Wasted a trip I won't waste to you again.

My husband ordered the chicken pad Thai with medium spice and I ordered the Pad Kee Mow and they were both delicious! Our waitress, Tamra(sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) did a wonderful job taking care of us!! We also got the fried wontons as an appetizer and they were very good and very fast! And of course we had to order some Thai Tea, it was so good we had to order two! Absolutely pleasant experience all in all and we can’t wait to come back!
