I recently had a highly disappointing experience with Bata. It took numerous emails to place the order, and their responses were consistently delayed. Despite finally managing to place an order for a birthday cake well in advance, just four days before the event, the owner canceled. This last-minute cancellation left my loved one without a birthday cake for their party. While the owner offered alternatives, none of the suggested places either met the requirements (i.e., they didn't provide vegan options) or were available on such short notice. I hope that Bata takes this feedback constructively and implements measures to ensure better communication and contingency plans for future orders.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Basta Bakery in Greenville, South Carolina, after reading about it in "Destination Greenville 2023," and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight! From the moment we stepped inside, the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked goods filled the air, setting the stage for a memorable experience with my family. The moment we laid eyes on the display case filled with an array of mouthwatering sweet treats, we knew we were in for something special. We decided to indulge ourselves and ordered a variety of desserts to satisfy our cravings! The Oreo brownie was a chocolate lover's dream, combining the rich fudgy goodness of a brownie with the nostalgic charm of Oreos. The hostess cupcake was a delightful blend of moist cake and creamy frosting, bringing back memories of childhood snack time. The coffee cake had the perfect balance of sweetness and a heavenly crumbly texture that paired wonderfully with our coffee. The doozie, a clever concoction of two chocolate chip cookies sandwiched together with a luscious icing-like filling, was pure bliss in each bite. And the homemade oatmeal cream pie was simply divine, with a soft, chewy exterior enveloping a delectable cream center. What impressed me the most was not only the scrumptious taste of each dessert but also the evident care and attention to detail put into their creation. Basta Bakery's commitment to using high-quality ingredients shone through in every bite.To top it off, the prices were surprisingly reasonable for such premium quality treats, making it even more appealing for those looking to indulge without breaking the bank. The friendly and attentive staff added to the overall experience, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home.In conclusion, I cannot recommend Basta Bakery enough for anyone with a sweet tooth or those simply seeking a delightful culinary experience. Whether you're a local or just passing through Greenville, this bakery is a must-visit. From the delectable desserts to the friendly service and reasonable prices, Basta Bakery truly deserves five stars and more. I'm already looking forward to my next impromptu visit!Highly recommended!

Basta is a tiny little shop but bringing with visual interest and exceptional baked items. Personally, it's small enough I wouldn't feel comfortable sitting down to eat although there are a few seats. I've had a number of items from them including a gluten free cardamon cookie, oatmeal creme cookie sandwich, chocolate cake, and a handful of different breads. Each item is rich with flavor, perfect in texture, and indistinguishable from a non vegan version. This is how vegan desserts should be done. It's absurdly out of my way but always worth a trip.

Best GF vegan treats in town! The staff are awesome and the shop vibes are great. Definitely a must visit.

The lady that served us was super friendly! Treats are delicious! Having dairy allergies makes getting treats a rare occasion, so a vegan bakery is an absolute win! We will definitely be back for more when we come to Greenville!

This bakery uses DoTERRA essential oils in their icing that is not fit for human consumption. DoTERRA is also an MLM company with multiple lawsuits. Please reconsider eating their products until this is changed.

The first thing I do when I travel to new cities is hunt for vegan baked goods, so to have an actual vegan bakery in my home city is AMAZING! My new favorite Saturday routine is buying a poptart at the market ❤️

People RAVED about our Wedding cakes and cupcakes! ? We got married last weekend on 4.21.23 and did not even get to finish the slice of cake that we fed each other, that’s how popular this setup was. So glad we got to keep four cupcakes and our top tier to the save for us to take home after the wedding or we wouldn’t have gotten any of this. ??? Cannot recommend Alexis and her baking team enough!!! I'm dairy-free and we had some gluten-free folks here as well so Basta made some gluten free cupcakes along with the others we had requested and everything was labeled and delicious. Cannot thank her and her team enough, from the pricing to the tasting, everything was amazing.

Vegans or non-vegans with a sweet tooth will absolutely love Basta. They have the best cinnamon rolls and change around their menu daily so you can try plenty of new things. Really glad they opened and I always look forward to the next time I can go. ?

We found this bakery via a Google search while visiting Greenville, SC. What a find! We had a cinnamon bun, lemon poppy seed muffin, and doozies. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!! Highly Recommend! Can't wait to go back and try their P.B. cup. They were sold out when we got there.

My girlfriend and I love coming here because the menu is constantly changing. All the homemade treats are so much better than their mass produced counterparts. Our favorites have been the oatmeal creme pie in the pics, and we've loved the brookies too.
