A good restaurant to have a before the show meal. Our first time there, the hostess welcomed us, and what to expect during intermission (our same table and our pre-ordered coffee and dessert waiting for us awesome). However the person taking care of our table was not engaging and did not check on us during our meal. We had Salmon and Chicken (okay could be better). During the intermission we had coffee and chocolate cake. The coffee was terrible (taste like water worst than Dunkin...
Our server was pleasing. However, the service seemed slow from the start, even when the restaurant had just opened and was not crowded. I'm glad we had a 5 pm reservation prior to a 7 pm show. The menu was quite limited. Had hoped for the charcuterie board for sharing, but that was not an option. Personally, I would recommend trying other nearby restaurants prior to a show.
I have to keep in mind that the food is catered. As a catered meal, the dish was beautiful. I came into Genevieve’s expecting a fine dining meal. I got that experience with the atmosphere, service, and presentation. However, the quality of the food was very far under my expectations. The food was not hot. It had little seasoning. It was also more over cooked than under cooked. I wanted to try this fine dining place for convenience, but I will not be back.
