Green Tomato Buffet

knew we had a high chair guest , stuck us at a table & then told us we needed to move because of a fire hazard . after speaking to the RUDE management, it was simplified with my suggestion that they fought me over of simply moving a chair in place of the high chair. Mac & cheese tasted like it was cooked with spoiled product .

Every year we meet our family halfway from each other’s houses and we always eat at the Green Tomato Buffet! The food is delicious and our waitress today was the sweetest lady. I wish I could remember her name! We look forward every year for our Thanksgiving visit!

Today I came in with my family to eat. Three kids and one with a high chair. Went to sit down and was immediately told by the waitress the child’s high chair supplied by them couldn’t be in the isle it’s a “fire hazard”. I told the waitress sure no problem where could we go she states to the back room. I proceeded to pick up my child and belongings as she takes the high chair and puts it up. I told the waitress I still need the high chair and was advised they aren’t allowed in the back either. First of all it’s not a fire hazard for a child seat to be beside a table. If it was all the other restaurants in Greenville would be shut down. It’s a personal preference of the Resturant to not allow child seating which is fine if that’s the case PUT IT ON THE DOOR. Will not be back to this Resturant again .

Came back years later & it was the same friendly service, great tasting food, a friend girl came after me bragging her about how Easter, Thanksgiving, & Christmas supper is here all in one place….

Brought my girlfriend up here for lunch and she loved it. Our waitress was sweet and the atmosphere was diverse and pleasant.

Our company ordered a meal that they said would feed 50 . That we paid a ridiculous amount for and the serving size was extremely small that we gave out still only feed 30 guest . When we called about the mis-Information given to us about the amount it would feed . They was rude , uncaring , and threaten to call the police on us. SMH .

This is the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to, and it’s not because of the food—the food is acceptable. The issue is with the service. This is the rudest service I have ever received in my life. I've been traveling for 20 years around the world and have lived in multiple countries, and this was the worst service I've encountered. The waitress was incredibly rude. She aggressively cleared the table, smearing the food she cleaned up onto my three-year-old son and my wife. She insulted us and treated us poorly. She refused to serve us properly and even insinuated that I hadn’t paid. I had to stand up and confront her. I would never advise anyone to come to this restaurant. It is awful in every sense of the word. For the record, I went yesterday, October 27, at 3 p.m., and was served by a waitress—the worst waitress I've ever had. I would never recommend visiting this restaurant.

The food was hot, fresh & plentiful! We didn't have to wait for refills on our drinks or for food to be put on the buffet if something was out. Everyone working was very friendly and accommodating. This was our first time visiting and it will be somewhere we come back to!

We are from out of town so we stopped in to try the buffet and it was delicious! Definitely coming back next time we come to Greenville!

We went for an earlier dinner and the food that was out was obviously the leftover food from lunch. There weren’t many things that were edible and the one thing we came for, fried catfish, was extremely boney and tough. The service staff was working hard but that matters very little if the food isn’t great. I felt compelled to leave this review because it’s currently sitting at 4.2 (as of this review) and it definitely isn’t. There are many other places I would want to spend $80.

Glad we looked up buffets near Greenville SC. Great salad bar, great selection of food. All food was fresh and all areas were kept up and very clean. Large selection of desserts too !! Definitely go there !!
