Awesome fresh seafood & meat with a great staff

My wife and I ordered food here for a special anniversary dinner I was going to prepare. I ordered a couple of steaks, some shrimp and some of the Monkfish. I went home to begin preparing the food to be cooked and as I was cutting up the fish to be prepared, I saw this parasite wriggling around in some of the cut pieces. We had already cooked and eaten about half of the fish when we saw this. Now I'm having my primary care doctor prescribe anti-parasite medication to ensure that we dont get ill from possibly ingesting some sort of worm from their meat. I threw everything else I purchased away. Needless to say I am beyond disgusted. I will never be returning here and will be informing everyone I know to avoid this disgusting place.

I don't like giving one-star reviews but I also don't want someone else to experience what I did. Super bowl weekend we were looking for fresh oysters. Hooked had a special so we thought we'd try them out. I bought two of each kind to take home and try before we bought $100 worth of oysters. (They said they weren't allowed to let me try one in the store. Even if I paid for it) . When I get them home and my husband opens the bags it's very obvious they were spoiled. I've been an oyster lover from the Chesapeake Bay area my entire life so I know what an oyster should smell like. I returned to Hooked and ask for a refund for my four oysters which cost me $6.50 and let them know that the oysters were spoiled. Not only did they refuse to give me my small refund but they challenged the fact that they were spoiled. So I learned a $6.50 lesson never step foot in Hooked again. Truly sad since I enjoy supporting my local businesses. In addition they could use a little education in customer service I hate it when I go to spend my hard earned money and the business owners act entitled and arrogant. The only positive part was the young man who helped me. He was kind and empathetic. I'd hire him in a minute!

Great selections, specials and knowledgeable, friendly staff.

Just bought a 30ib box of oysters (11/22/25) opened the box and it smelled like fish bate. The top 10/15 were already opened. The rest were questionable. Just got onto the rest of the 30lb.... ALL SUCKED. NEVER BUY AGAIN.

I buy my dogs raw food here He loves it. They almost always have fresh local eggs and my husband lives their raw milk.
