Best brisket this side of Austin. And then throw some of that homestyle Mac with it. Cold beer, great people supporting the local PC/Taylors community, and the best desserts.
Amazing
Stopped by Rusty’s Rooster Shack and had a great meal. The chicken and waffles were delicious—the chicken was crispy and flavorful, and the waffle was perfect. Friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

Based on the reviews, Rusty's Rooster Shack offers great BBQ with popular items like pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, and brisket. The ribs are fall off the bone tender. Be sure to try the shrimp tacos, which are so so so good. They also have a poboy shrimp taco. The wings, especially the voodoo wings, are off the chain. The sides are awesome and obviously home made. Occasionally, the chef's wife whips up amazing sauces for the chicken wings, like the awesome blueberry habanero. The sweet tea hits the spot. The food is excellent and well worth the wait. The owners and family are awesome, providing warm welcomes and a great atmosphere. This is a go to spot for a mom and pop restaurant.
