It Don't Matter Southern Cuisine, Wings, & More!

I pulled up here with my work buddies from USIC, and now I want to tell everyone about this place! I know they were upset to see 9-10 trucks outside, but they didn't have any business making food that amazing, so it is what it is. There were a couple holes in the roof, BUT still.....Highly recommended.

This place had been on my radar for a little minute since I’m new to the area and have been on the hunt for some good soul food. I walked in, and everyone there was pleasant. No attitudes, every person that walked by that counter spoke. Super southern which I live for. In this post: I mean no disrespect. Just gotta be honest bc these GVL reviews are so misleading.

Food: I got the
-6 wing plate with mac and cheese, and okra.
-I also ordered fried croaker.

Let me get this off my chest first. I ordered what I thought was a fish plate but apparently it was just a singular piece of fish for $11. Mins you this fish ain’t fresh caught either. It had no seasoning. Bless it 🤦🏾‍♀️. It wouldn’t have been so bad if it came with at least some fries for $11.

Southern Fried wing plate. Wings have a pretty thick breading and their standard seasoning was too salty. The okra had seasoned salt that was too overpowering for okra. Mac and cheese was okay but it felt like it needed more pasta every time you’d take a bite.

The food is amazing as well as the service. Just make sure you have on your Dallas cowboys gear.

The only reason I have the atmosphere a 3 because is a small place but there is still room to dine in if you want. I didn't take a picture but me and my girlfriend purchased the flounder, pork chop, mac and cheese, okra, rice and gravy plus a 6 piece order of lemon pepper wings to try. I can't speak on the pork but everything else was very good and I'll definitely be back to try something else soon!!!

Food was fresh and well seasoned but the okra and fried chicken had a little too much SALT on them. Also all I taste is salt/season salt and pepper. It would be nice if other seasonings had been incorporated to bring the flavor together. The beef hot dog was really good.

Cute little place. Great wings cooked right. Has many different flavors. Honey lemon pepper and garlic Parm was the best. All the staff are with smiles, and helpful. If you are passing through I would definitely tell you to stop and eat. They also have a drive thru window.

I had a pickup. 2 fried flounder & fries. Imo fish batter was a lil salty. No cornmeal batter.

My mother and I stopped here for lunch, saw online they had grilled hot dogs with chili on the menu which is different from most places that just do boiled hot dogs. Got our order quickly and the chili dogs were very good, grilled nicely with slightly sweet chili. Of the places in the area I've tried for hot dogs, which is a lot, these are the best I've had and the pricing is good. Would come back for them and to try some of the other menu offerings.

Tried a New Hot Dog joint today.
You wouldn't think a All Beef Hot Dog is a big deal. Well where I come from there are even rules as to what goes on one. 😜 "It Don't Matter Southern Cuisine, Wings, & More!" made a really tasty Chili Dog with mustard and onions. The Chili was very good not just seasoned ground beef like most places use. This had flavor an almost a bit sweet. 😋 Fries were crinkle cut 👍 a little salty but cooked perfectly.
The wings looked great too. Many flavors to pick from. Next Time.
Nice clean dining area. Friendly Service. Definitely will return.

This visit was as a joke, since my coworker said he didn’t care where we went. We should have read the reviews! We waited about 18 minutes, which seemed really unusual for what is essentially a quick-order place. The chili dogs they serve are sweet, like they use a sloppy joe recipe for the chili. The buns were surprisingly hard to chew. I ordered fries, which were fine. My coworker agrees with the other reviewer that something is really, really off with the lemonade. His wings were done well, but the flavoring left a strange aftertaste in his mouth. I believe we’ll pass on an opportunity to return.
