Lewis Barbecue Greenville

This is a cafeteria style restaurant. The food is excellent, but a little pricey. I would go here on special occasions, but not for everyday lunches.

Not much parking.
Going to be busy during peak dinner time, so go early or be good with waiting in line (worth the wait, though).

Literally the best bbq I’ve ever had in my entire life. I have been all over the country, and this is my favorite barbecue I’ve ever had. I am writing this after eating here for the second time this week lol. The sauces are also incredible… I could drink them. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and there are just no words that could describe how amazing the food is. My favorite (besides the brisket) is the green chili cheddar sausage. Everything is amazing!! We will be back.

Went for beef ribs they didn't have any. The lean brisket was super dry. Really enjoyed the Mac and cheese. The greens were a little sweet and very heavy with vinegar for my taste.

If you're a bbq lover you must try Lewis bbq. Best bbq east of Texas. A bbq lover's dream. Made another trip there today and it didn't disappoint. The dino ribs were fall off the bone mouth watering flavor.

From the moment I walked through the door the smells had my mouth watering. I was given a sample of their brisket and it was so freaking good. Ridiculous. We ordered a chopped and a sliced brisket sandwich, Mac and cheese, cowboy beans, and the fries. Everything was spectacular. We also got two of each of the sausages which were also insanely delicious. I travel a lot for work and I've tried at least 20 barbecue spots from asheville and hickory, to Charlotte, to greenville and Spartanburg. This was hands down the best barbecue I've ever had. I will 1000% be back next time I'm in town.

My first and last time here. I placed an online order for pickup. It is not a curbside pickup system; you have to park and go inside to get your food.
The ribs were absolutely unacceptable—burned bones with a very minimal amount of meat that was overcooked, tough, and dry. I was not able to eat the little meat available. It was so tough it hurt my teeth, and it left a bad flavor in my mouth.
Due to the rain and having little ones in the car, I did not return to the store. I live in Simpsonville.

I’ve had everything on the menu it’s fantastic the best bbq in Greenville however the bar staff is rude …very rude and I’ve been 4x already to make sure I wasn’t tripping about the food being so good but yeah bar staff is rude, so there’s that but food is great

Great place to get some bbq. You won't be disappointed. The servers are nice and the food was terrific. Recommend the collards, pulled pork, sweet tea, and mac n cheese. Some of the best I've ever had.
The waiters don't come to your table, you pay for your food then seat yourself. If you're expecting a quiet sit down restaurant, this isn't it. It's not a bad atmosphere, I really enjoyed it, but it's not a quiet, private romantic type place if that's what you're looking for.

Stop with the moaning and complaining. This spot is world class. If you love meat and high quality cooking you will get a great treat from this place. Don’t mind the parchment paper
