We’ve visited this BBQ spot several times over the past few months, both dining in and ordering to go, and have consistently enjoyed the food. It’s some of the best BBQ we’ve had, which is why today’s experience was especially disappointing.

The restaurant was very crowded, and several parties ahead of us were grabbing tables while waiting for their food. I did the same for my party of two. We were then singled out and asked to move, with a staff member explaining that guests are usually expected to wait until they have food before sitting.

Understood, however this rule was not applied consistently. Multiple other groups were holding tables, and one party was even assisted by a staff member who pulled up an extra seat so they could sit together while waiting.

As one of the only African American patrons in the restaurant, being the only group asked to move felt uncomfortable and disappointing. We’ve supported this business consistently, but after today’s experience, we’re not sure we’ll be back.

Outstanding Texas‑style BBQ paired with an impressively smooth and efficient ordering process. A fantastic experience from start to finish. Brisket and collard greens are top tier!

We had the pulled pork, brisket, turkey, mac & cheese, corn casserole, fries and pickles. It all was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was spacious, clean and family friendly. Also love the look of the place. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent food. Prices are steadily going up. This is not a cheap or budget friendly place to eat. Be prepared to spend atleast 100.00 for 2 people.

This is very white people bbq. Very little flavor, you pay for every side, drink and desert separately. Compared to other bbq places this had no flavor without the bbq sauce. Just the taste of shredded meat. For one person with sandwich, side, desert and drink came out to close to 40 dollars. Skip the deserts not real banana pudding just flavoring

I like clean, great tasting organic food, and I also like to dive into some beef/chicken bbq. I've had clean bbq before, and this isn't it. This place is way too hyped up for what it is.

While the meat was tender and thoughtfully seasoned, it was beyond greasy and salty. I had to blot the meat multiple times to cut the grease, but the grease wouldn't disappear. I had to spread out my time in eating this; it became an all day affair!

The coleslaw was too wet and too tart, but the texture was nice. Sometimes I like my coleslaw smooth & soft and other times I like it firm & crunchy— this was firm & crunchy. The coleslaw needs to be sweeter overall. Mainly due to the seasoning of the meat and hot sauces, which are mild and tangy. When paired together, it's too sour. The flavor becomes unbalanced and lost. I love that pickled onions and green peppers were added to the coleslaw; that's a unique touch.

The mac n' cheese was also oily and salty, and the noodles were overcooked— way too soft!! However, I love that the Maillard Reaction was structurally added (a purposeful browning on the surface layer which gives it a umami flavor).

The fries were excellent and cooked in natural beef tallow— not seed oil!! Besides a few squiggles of overcooked fries, they were wonderful, and I'm not into fries like that. Surprisingly, this was the least saltiest option.

The service was excellent and the atmosphere was so-so. I'm happy I tried this restaurant, but I won't be back. **Be weary of the reviews. Most people don't know what truly qualifies as quality food**.

Helpful Hint: any restaurant that has extremely salty food is not a good restaurant. Salt is either used as a disguise, or the chef doesn't know what he is doing. It's a good restaurant when food seasoned appropriately with fresh herbs, and perfectly balanced with picklings and sweetness.

Bonus: no loud background music was playing. The noise level was fairly loud at the ordering station, but the dining room level was moderate+ as the wooden dividers seemed to help tame some of the noise.

This was a very busy spot at 2:00-3:00p.m. on Saturday. The restaurant is clean, as are the bathrooms, but the stalls are tight like the parking spaces.
