Finally a coffee shop that offers great coffee selection that is not invaded with pretentious aprons behind the counter.
Since moving here, I've only been to a handful of shops, the other Methodical on Wade Hampton included, and disappointment was the word of the day each time. But not this Methodical location.
I come here about once every few weeks to buy beans. For the dark chocolate-y, smokey, nutty coffee fans, Oscuro, Belly Warmer, Late Night and a few others are very tasty beans, (especially paired with your fall favorite syrups like cardamom and spice inspired flavors).
Every time I walk in, I am welcomed. Every time I walk in I feel welcomed. This is really not hard to do, but for some maybe it is--I dont know. Since college, the coffee shop has been a mental safe space, a break. Then I began to appreciate and love coffee, and now the coffee shop has evolved into something more for me over the years. For that to be shattered as soon as you walk in the shop, I mean damn. That sucks.
But thats not the case here. Appreciate everyone behind the bar at this location. Coupled with the wonderful variety of freshly roasted beans every time I walk in, I highly recommend Methodical Coffee on Main.

We were in Downtown Greenville yesterday and visited Methodical after my appointment to buy coffee beans. I chose to purchase the Guatamala, Ixlama after asking a couple questions about roast. The young man who helped me was extremely knowledgeable and after I chose my blend I asked for a drip coffee and was told that it was complimentary because I purchased my coffee beans. Great customer service and a very cool vibe. Definitely will be back

We absolutely love this place, Katie was exceptional and very kind and their products are way better than other places. They make their own syrups without high corn fructose syrup. They have muffins made with almond flour, great alternatives. Highly recommended!!!

I’m here in Greenville for 1 full day on a work trip. I went to this coffeeshop this morning, and was so impressed I had to go back before they closed. I had a cappuccino, an iced pumpkin spice latte, and a cortado. Of course the pumpkin spice latte was excellent, but I was absolutely floored by the cappuccino and cortado. It is really impressive when the simpler drinks that can’t hide behind flavored syrups are a 10/10. I worked in specialty coffee in Boston for several years and can confidently say the quality coming out of this coffeeshop rivals any of the A-tier coffeeshops I have been to in Boston (and an hour drive surrounding it), NYC, and Providence. I was not expecting to find such a gem in a place I had no idea I’d be visiting! And if the coffee wasn’t a highlight enough, the baristas were so lovely and the service I received was excellent. Seriously cannot put into words how impressed I was - if you are in the Greenville area, you have to visit and experience it for yourself.

Calling all decaf drinkers! Methodical’s “Repose” roast is one of the best decaf beans out there. Outside of that, methodical is the most consistent coffee shop in Greenville - perfect customer service, the best pastries, and delicious drinks no matter who is making them. Cheers!

I never ever leave bad reviews but this was a 6 dollar lavender matcha. It was honestly horrible. Oh! And half way through drinking it I found a massive dead bug stuck to the inside of the cup! 0/10.
