It wasn't our waitresses fault. She was very attentive. We sat in the bar area. Got there at 7:05. It was almost 9 before we ate. Ordered oysters appetizer and waited at least 30 mins for them and they were tiny and just not good. I ordered a pizza that came highly recommended. It was close to raw and awful looking. Waitress agreed and I ordered something else. She compd my food order. I got the sliders instead. They were quite good. My husband had a hamburger which he ate by himself because my food took so long. All in all not worth the time or $.
We were seated by their bus station and asked if we could move. The person never came back and said no, I'm sorry we can't. Then, our server took drink orders for the women and not my husband. He had to ask for his drink. The $75 3 course meal I had was not good except for the crème brûlée. The Caesar salad was dry and barely had any dressing. The eggplant pesto parmigiana was way too creamy and the pasta was so rich and overloaded with sauce I couldn't eat it. The eggplant didn't even taste like eggplant. My husband's ribeye steak was overcooked and the fries weren't hot. The steak was not medium rare as he ordered. It was more of a medium with a tiny bit of pink. The manager came by the table right after we got our meals and asked if everything was okay. At that point we hadn't even had a chance to try it, so we said yes. She never checked back again. Surprisingly, my mom's spaghetti and meatballs was the best entree of our three. All in all, it was highly disappointing and not worth the $280 with tip for our mediocre at best dining experience. We don't mind paying for a nice experience with delicious food, but this really wasn't good at all.
The food and the atmosphere were excellent as always. The service was lacking. What I expected to be a one and a half hour dinner turned into almost 3. Maybe next time we'll be better.
This was the worst dining experience the friends we were with and we have ever had. We waited approximately 40 minutes for our drinks (and one was an incorrect drink delivered) and at least 1.5 hours on our food. All of the tables that arrived after us were cashed out prior to us receiving our food. When our food did arrive, the steaks had no seasoning or flavor, the shrimp was undercooked and mushy (not edible) and the salmon looked like it had been fried hard and burnt and was smaller in thickness and length of the size of a McDonald's hash brown. The cheese mashed potatoes looked like and tasted like the container kind at the grocery in the refrigerated section. This is a higher end restaurant and not cheap. Our server was young and lacked training and avoided us, I guess because of the issues we were having and he didn't know how to handle it. When the manager finally came to our table, there was not an apology, but she kept saying the kitchen was backed up and she was doing the best she could. While we understand that can happen, especially in the times we live in now, when we said we could understand that, but wanted to know why everyone else after us was done with dinner. She just got even more mad and could not give an answer and kept saying she was doing the best she could. We were there for an event, however a friend who has eaten there prior said it was not any busier than normal. Had we received an apology from the server and the manager and our situation handled in a friendly compassionate way, it would have been better. We asked to be comped for our meals and she finally ended up doing so. We did tip the server, as even though he was not good, we felt like under the leadership of the manager, he had not been trained properly and just didn't know what to do. Needless to say, no one in our group will be returning to this location or any other of the several that they have. I have had better food and service at a cheap bar and grill.
We enjoyed our time there and the wait staff and staff in general were wonderful. I had the Cesar Salad with grilled chicken and a cup of she crab soup. The salad was not good at all way to fishy smell. My daughter also had the same salad and she felt the same way. The server was very nice and offered to bring us a different salad. My daughter had a different salad. I refused as I was already full as I had the soup and grilled chicken. The server was nice enough to take my salad off the bill that was nice. The soup was amazing. My son in law loved the meatballs and his dessert. We will come back and try again.
Very disappointed. I've been here before; always great food, great staff, worth it to have a celebration there. Not last night! Carolina Buffalo Filet - so much gristle you couldn't cut through it without deliberate effort. Flavor was good but I've had filets before and not once was an actual filet tainted with gristle. Maybe there's an explanation, a poor cut, substitution, who actually knows? At $55, it was a huge disappointment. The signature cornbread got mixed reviews from the table, but I can say for certain, it was dense throughout and at least one bite was undercooked (doughy). The She-crab soup had good flavor but was served at to maybe under room temp (cold). My mother enjoyed the half chicken she had. My brother in law rated his meal satisfactory but not worth the price. My sister said the Chicken Parmesan was okay. The crew was pleasant and did provide two dishes of Crème Brouwer with a bit of fireworks on the table to cap off my 60th birthday celebration. All in all, a bit of a let down for us and a regret for having selected the location.
Just Outstanding. Family atmosphere. Amazing environment for good conversation and connection. Made to feel special. Absolutely returning.
Great service from our server Shannon. Did seem to try to upsale us on alcoholic beverages (not everyone consumes alcohol) Ordered steak request pink center .. came back WELL DONE. Was a filet like shoe leather! A business dinner so did not want to make a scene to reorder. A 55.00 steak wasted. All well.. generally overpriced for quality and quantity of food. Will not be back. Again Shannon pleasant... but overall food was low quality for an upscale restaurant.
Never disappoints! Always professional service and quality food. Always a treat to see Rick checking on customers for a personal touch!
Food quality has definitely gone downhill. It took three times for the chef to make our steak and it still was not cooked to proper temperature. The porter house steak was too tough to eat. The filet side was overcooked...We we're still charged for the steak. Definitely will not be returning!

I have been coming with my family for years as we have always loved our experiences and this occasion we saw a serious dive in food portion sizes, food quality and service. Drinks were fine but everything else was very disappointing and our server was not on water glasses, drinks, food wait time, etc.
My husband, adult son and I had an amazing evening. Our server A.J. and his serving assistant Luke were professional, attentive and a lot of fun. The food was incredible as always and we even had the honor of speaking with Mr. Erwin himself. Chef recommended we try their new creme bruleed cheesecake and my mouth waters just thinking about it. This is our "go to" special evening restaurant and it NEVER disappoints. Everyone should make it a point to treat themselves to this experience at least once each year.
We enjoyed a lovely evening. Our waitress was attentive and helpful and our meal was delicious.
Outstanding service, food and ambience! Any time we are in the Greenville area, we enjoy dining at Rick Erwin's.
Amazing meal, the attention to detail was unmatched. I have an allergy, and the staff provided options for most of the menu! Shannon was energetic! She created a dining experience that we will definitely come back for!! Thank you for a wonderful date night!
