The food was delicious. Our awesome waiter recommended the Trout and it was excellent! The brussel sprout appetizer was the best I've ever had. The waiter was excellent. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant!!!
Overall, dinner was fantastic! We were staying at the Hyatt and decided to take advantage of the restaurant week menu. We both chose to have the pasta dishes for our entree, and they were to cooked to perfection. Mine came with a bolognese sauce that was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I will definitely be dining here again on my next trip to Greenville.
Awesome experience visiting from out of town. Had the pimento filet and wife had the scallops. Both finished well with great selection of red wines!
We went for restaurant week and ordered the shrimp, parm fries, bird dog, cheesecake and tiramisu. Food was excellent! Grady was our server. He did such a wonderful job, super friendly and a joy to talk to. Manager of the restaurant was very friendly as well and made sure our needs were met. Overall, one of the best experiences downtown GVL we've had during restaurant week in the last 3 years. So glad we tried Roost and will definitely return in the future.
We went to Roost on 01-10-26 for SC's Restaurant Week and chose from the 3 course choices for $33 each, not bad. We dined in the outdoor but heated, space. Roost is located at the corner of Main and Beattie in downtown Greenville, SC. It has really cool infinity fountain that runs the length of the restaurant. We ordered the yard bird chicken and steak in a brandy sauce, both fantastic. The wait staff was fantastic.
Awesome brunch, food was fresh and continued until after 2:00. My only complaint was the dessert station. They ran out of things and didn't replenish.
Brunch was great. Too many choices! I would suggest in the future to label desserts for those with allergies. Minor detail thought. Keith was was a great server and asked frequently if we needed anything. Much appreciated.
Beautiful restaurant! Great views of Greenville. Very enjoyable place to eat. I ordered risotto , and shrimp. The risotto was a thumbs down. It was like eating hard rice . Any chef knows that good risotto should be creamy and not over filled with spices. I may have eaten three bites. If I go back I will definately get something else.
It was very loud. Hard to have a conversation. Table too big for the group. Server was fantastic. Drinks were delicious.
Website said nothing about Christmas buffet, so we were disappointed that no menu was available. The buffet was very picked-over by dinner time.

Had no idea when we booked our Christmas day reservation that they were only offering their standard brunch buffet at 4 in the afternoon. Overpriced for a limited selection of very average quality. Very disappointed.
Seemed unorganized. The buffet food choices were horrible and the food was just warm. We use to go to Roost before their renovation and it was better then. No great improvement....probably won't return.
Definitely not worth $50PP. Years ago 1/2 the price & more variety as well. They offered only “one” vegetable (carrots) lunch side of buffet. Both Mac & cheese & baked ziti were replaced & not piping hot, just warm. I was standing right there at the time. It appears they had them waiting around in the kitchen. We were extremely disappointed. However, the prime rib was cooked perfectly & delicious. Our server was very sweet. We will not be returning
We brought the fam8ly there for Thanksgiving. I was extremely disappointed in the food. The macaroni and cheese was uneatable, the green bean casserole was so blah, asparagus was so undercooked you could hardly chew it. For $50 a person I was expecting something WORTH $50 a person. This certainly was not! I’m afraid that it was my one and only dining experiences at Roost. I will say though that our waiter was nice and on the ball
We stopped here for a quick lunch before a show. We were seated quickly. Our server, Chad, was polite and friendly. Lunch was delicious, served quickly. Reasonably priced. Good choice for a quick bite.
