We brought the fam8ly there for Thanksgiving. I was extremely disappointed in the food. The macaroni and cheese was uneatable, the green bean casserole was so blah, asparagus was so undercooked you could hardly chew it. For $50 a person I was expecting something WORTH $50 a person. This certainly was not! I’m afraid that it was my one and only dining experiences at Roost. I will say though that our waiter was nice and on the ball
We stopped here for a quick lunch before a show. We were seated quickly. Our server, Chad, was polite and friendly. Lunch was delicious, served quickly. Reasonably priced. Good choice for a quick bite.
We were seated promptly for our reservation. Restaurant was loud, could use some sound buffering panels. Server came over immediately and took our order as he knew we had a comedy show to attend in 90 min. Drinks came out quickly as did 3 of our four shared plates. The scallops were good, the beef carpaccio and the bread plate were very good. We finished our 3 plates and were still waiting on our fourth. Our server came over twice to tell us he didn't know why our 4th plate (sliders) had not come out but he would comp them for us when they did. 60 min later, we had to leave for our show and the sliders never arrived. Our server was very apologetic and ended up giving us 50% off our bill. So, hard to rate, as the customer service was very good, but the kitchen was very backed up and obviously couldn't keep up with the demand (the restaurant was not full, but it was crowded). We will return and give them a 2nd chance, based on food and customer service.
I have been trying to figure out for over a month if they are offering a Thanksgiving buffet. No one answers the phone or returns voice mails. Why not just disconnect your line?
The drinks were fabulous! We ordered the filet and it was cooked to perfection! The Boursin mashed potatoes were delish! Highly recommend!!

Went here for lunch a few weeks ago. The food and place were fine. Great? No, but fine. Took my extended family here today, for brunch, to celebrate a birthday. What a disappointment. The food is perhaps a step above eating at a Holiday Inn Express for breakfast. Examples? Pancakes just heaped in a pan.. Lemon cake brought out… both a poor quality and refrigerator cold. I can’t express my embarrassment and disappointment. My expectations were much higher. If you want volume, be my guest. If you want good food (especially for the price), there are a host of better places nearby.

The Brussels were a bit oily and the chicken was tough from being overcooked. Definitely feels like a hotel restaurant with the loud volume and casualness of the staff. The wedge salad was the best part of dinner, though my date really enjoyed the salmon.

Such delicious food! I called with food allergies few days prior. The chef called me back. He was eager to accommodate and wow did he deliver! Appearance, flavor everything! I was with 3 others and they all loved what they ordered as well! Great place to eat and the patio when the weather is nice is one of our favorites in downtown Greenville.
This place is a hidden gem. The menu feels thoughtful and seasonal, and the flavors are clean and vibrant.

Do not recommend here staff are so horrible and if the bouncers on the door dont like the look of you they pretend that u can't book tables even it your after ringing days before and if you ask to know why they wont give u a reason or wont get a manager for you
Mediocre service, horrible fish smell coming from kitchen made dining less than pleasurable, got French dip and had to send it back. It had a very bitter taste and the au jus was sour. Nothing like a traditional French dip. Took clients there and wish I hadn't.
Roost for dinner is nothing like it used to be. The waiter was wonderful, the food was created, adventurously and delicious. Totally renovated and much more inviting loved it. We all would go back very soon.
