I didn't have my child with me that day and just wanted to stop by and try it- but one of the workers vented to me about how much they hated having parents and kids in there and how they wanted more adults who fly and drink and was very rude while I waited for over 30 min for a sandwich. They are next to a popular children's park and putt putt! I wouldn't come here on an adults day out and ESPECIALLY if you have kids with you. Not welcoming at all!!

On September 11th 2020, I got a call that we had tragically lost my father. Truly I believed it would be the worst experience of my life, until we visited the Runway Cafe. The older lady assumed to be running the place gave my wife the hand before she had the opportunity to even speak and say “mam you’re just going to have to wait a second” and then proceeded to berate other guests to inform them that “we serve 200 guests a day, you need to call ahead” in the most harsh tone of voice ever. This is not the first experience with this either, we were trying to give them ANOTHER chance after we have experienced such rude behavior in the past and sadly nothing has changed. Would be a great place to eat for the neighborhood folks and park goers but sadly they can not handle the rush of the park or the stress of the job they’ve signed up for. Maybe Gordon Ramsey can visit next time and give them some pointers.

The staff were amazing in helping coordinate our order, packaging everything for us and providing the hanger space for the kids to eat and watch the planes. The food was excellent to boot! I can't say enough great things about Runway Cafe and look forward to returning!

I noticed as I was eating my Santa fe burger, that the patty was extremely dry. It's like they cooked it and then for some reason threw it in the microwave and evaporated the moisture out of it. My fries were mushy yet piping hot. All for $16. Not eating here again.

food is just okay.... kids menu and the chicken tenders are just clearly store bought frozen stuff and the fries are mcdonald's copycat/shoestring potatoes that you get at the store... good to see they brought the model planes on the ceiling back... bring back the byrd sandwich

This is by far one of the best restaurants in Greenville! We live in TR but make the drive frequently to the park and restaurant, at least monthly but sometimes weekly! The food is delicious (the Barnstormer & Santa Fe Burger are my faves as well as their “McDonald-like” french fries…all delicious in my opinion…I always partake in the hot sauce they offer as well…it makes the fries even more tasty!)
The employees are amazing and so sweet to EVERYONE! They are so patient and put up with so much! The two ladies that falsely reviewed this place a month ago allowed their kids to ride their bikes into the restaurant and proceeded to be extremely noisy and make a complete mess of the restaurant. They should be ashamed of themselves and need to grow up and be better parents to their children! I have five children and would never allow them to act this way in a public establishment. Being next to a park is no excuse to allow your children to run rampant at someone else’s expense! So rude! The park is for them to get their energy out and ride their bikes and such, not the restaurant that we love and hold dear! Then, to speak so rudely to the staff & then have the nerve to bring their review score down with their trash talk! Unbelievable! Learn some respect! Teach your children respect as well!
Parking: There are always plenty of spots even though it’s almost always full, which is no surprise to me!
Kid-friendliness: They are super kid friendly but also make sure their rules are implemented as to not have injuries or accidents & messes. I have 5 kids & bring them all the time & we always feel welcome & are treated with kindness!

You should change the host, the lady taking the order was very rude seemed to be very racist. She needs more training on how to deal with customers. If you don’t want kids in your restaurant you should put a sign up that says “no kids allowed”. Horrible service.
