Sushi Masa is an excellent sushi bar and restaurant. Their salmon nigiri is very high quality. Scallops ‘gunkan style’ are awesome. The A5 wagyu special nigiri is a reasonably priced luxury food. Service is excellent and friendly. Crowded Fri/Sat. Call ahead during the lunch hour to score a dinner reservation later in the week. First seating is 5:30 — easiest and best.

I've been coming here for many many years, pretty much as long as I've lived in SC it's so yummy and the most authentic I've had while living here. The servers are always friendly and have a smile. The miso soup is always steaming hot and is the best appetizer. Personally, I only come here for sushi and have never tried the other entrees but I'm sure they are just as delicious!

This is a traditional Japanese sushi restaurant. It’s legit. The food is consistently delicious, the service is fantastic and atmosphere is casually comfortable.

For example, a few months ago we tried to order wasabi shumai. They didn’t have it at the time. We went back a couple weeks ago and the server said, “Didn’t you try to order wasabi shumai last time? We have it today.” Like who has that kind of memory?! Amazing.
