Had a fabulous time and great dinner here last night before going to see Heart. Keel was an awesome waiter and took great care of us. He was very engaging and knowledgeable about the oysters. He started us with a sample of the smoked Mahi fish dip which was really good and he explained the varietal of oysters available that just came in the day before, noting how they are arranged on the sheet from sweetest to briniest. I had a dozen of chilled oysters on the half shell, enjoying 4 each of the Olde Salt, Wellfleet, and Boomamota oysters. For a newbie to eating raw oysters, his help was greatly appreciated. I have found that I really enjoy the brinier, plumper oysters and these were spot-on. My hubby had the catch-of-the-day sandwich (which was Mahi) blackened with fries but without the bun (due to having dental surgery to remove all uppers which has him sticking to soft foods for several weeks). Keel was so accommodating when he understood my hubby's needs and ensured all was tender including the fries which my hubby wasn't going to get due to limited chewing ability but Keel assured him they would be soft enough to eat and they were! The fish wash flavorful and super moist. Everything about the meal and experience was top shelf. Really would have loved a slice of their key lime pie and to try their cheddar hushpuppies but that will be for our return visit once my hubby gets his new teeth?

Visiting from Atlanta for the weekend and this spot was on my to list. It did not disappoint at all! We started off with the clam chowder and hush puppies (I am personally not a fan of hush puppies in general but I don’t want any others if it does not taste like this — it’s an absolute must order, moist on the inside and perfectly fried on the outside). Moving onto entree, my fiancé got the Crab Fried Rice and I got the Connecticut Lobster Roll (*insert drool*). It was a great portion size and poached perfectly. Anddd, of course, didn’t say no to the key lime pie!

Excellent oyster selection east coast, west coast, and gulf. Able to customize any way you like. Very fresh. Cocktails are small and pricey. Chowder was very good as is the fish dip and lobster roll.Parking: Parking in downtown Greenville is almost always difficult unless you pay. If you have reservations and are not going to valet you need to allow plenty of time to find a spot or be prepared to walk a considerable distance. Best to valet and save yourself the trouble. Parking garages are typically free on the weekend but are mostly full and can still be a long walk to your respective location.

Everything was on point food, service, conversation with strangers. I will definitely return back to the Greenville area. I ordered the grilled oysters, steamed shrimp and hush puppies..
This place was recommended during our visit from Charleston so it seemed strange to drive 4 hours to eat traditional Charleston dishes, but everything was great. We did the chef's picks on oysters so we were able to try several different types.Vegetarian options: None that I recall

Seated after about a 35 minute wait at happy hour, and it was well worth it. The cheddar hushpuppies, oysters and atmosphere are like none other in Greenville. Wait staff was outstanding and very attentive to us in every way, treating us like regulars. It was neat seated in front of the shucker, watching his hard work, and even sharing conversation with him. I look forward to returning for more great food!
