Food and services was wonderful. Unfortunately we were seated upstairs above the open kitchen which left my clothes smelling like a kitchen. Dropped my coat off at the dry cleaners this morning. Next time will insist on a downstairs table.

We dined at Soby's before our Sunday night show at the Peace Center. Our server was aware of our timeline and kept the dishes coming from soup to dessert without making us feel rushed. My husband raved about the beef short ribs and goat cheese mashed potatoes. My shrimp and grits were traditional but not spectacular. The expresso crème brute was divine. Our server was knowledgeable about the food and drink menu. His suggestions were spot on. He surprised us with an anniversary cheesecake that he served with cappuccino!

Went for Sunday brunch again which is one of the best in Greenville. Donnie was our waiter and he was spectacular-a seasoned veteran who knows the menu and makes the experience enjoyable. We had mimosas which were okay but the shrimp and grits, the crab cakes and the fried green tomato eggs Benedict were all exceptional.

My wife always gets the crab cakes.. Never a disappointment. I likewise are never disappointed with my standard: the filet medium rare. This time around the chef changed the accompaniments, which were the highlights of the dish. Absolutely excellent. The steak I thought was a little chewy, but that might have been due to it being more toward the medium side of medium rare. I'm sure they would have gracefully corrected, but with Peace Center tickets in hand it was a timing issue. Service was as great as it always is. Modifications to the menu are effortlessly accommodated. This is our Peace Center go to and will continue to be.

Wow! Our first time and Soby's did not disappoint. We had heard a lot of good reviews from friends and relatives and they are right. Our waiter, Zach, was outstanding and very knowledgeable about the menu both food and bar. He did not steer us wrong. Try the Braised Short Ribs or the Salmon—both were excellent. Oh, and the Old Fashion is a definite!

Magnificent food, drinks, wine service and family atmosphere! Well managed and an organized staff that meets all your needs and desires! A local gem eatery that serves their wonderful community! Highly recommended!!!

Excellent food, excellent service!!!! Had a great waitress, Rachel, that made our first visit to the restaurant a memorable one, especially since we were celebrating our 30th anniversary!! Highly recommend.

I have been eating at Soby's for over 20 years. It never disappoints. The food is always delicious and the staff accommodates all of our tables needs! I could eat here every day.

Food was good. Service was not good. Server was not knowledgeable about the special for the evening. She returned incorrect change for my payment. She was mostly very curt. Would not want her to serve me ever again.

We were seated on the loft level of the restaurant that overlooks the kitchen. The smoke and fumes that filled that space were overwhelming and my blazer still smells. Make sure not to be seated in that area! I got the salmon entree. It was good. The brussel sprouts that came with it were overly salted. The black rice was delicious. Desert was the banana white chocolate pie. It was lacking flavor and was overly doused with whipped cream.

Wonderful experience at Soby's last evening. Emily our server was excellent- upbeat, attentive and helpful. We shared a great bottle of Amorone from the extensive wine list. Fried green tomatoes were so delicious. My salmon was cooked to perfection with a savory seasoning. My husband had the crab cakes - also wonderful! And we were seated at table 301 which made our experience even more enjoyable.

The wine choices were excellent and the soup was delicious. Our server was very helpful and knowledgeable overall; however, it would have been nice to know that the strip special was $82 each. That's double the price of the filet on the menu and was not nearly as good of a steak as someone else at the table had with the filet. Normally specials are slightly more expensive than say the most expensive menu item, but in this case it was double and should be mentioned when presented. Especially when it was a subpar dish.

We have a great meal for my birthday dinner. The food was excellent and the pace of the meal was fantastic. I am so glad that I chose this restaurant to celebrate at! The waiter was excellent!!!

Great location. Excellent service. The host went out of her way to accommodate our special needs. Heather was attentive without being overwhelming. Shrimp and grits the best I ever had.

I had reservations for 6 pm and didn't get sat until 6:40 pm. The hostess couldn't be bothered to greet us or offer any other updates on the timeframe for a table other than "we're clearing a table" every 15 min. The food was good. The waitress was nice but didn't check in after we got our mains. We were expecting a little better for the price.
