Taken to Tirado's by a Puerto Rican friend who LOVES Tirado's. Carlos says that the food is just like he eats at home. We ordered the combination plate, and we were pleased! The food is good, I've been told it is authentic, BUT it is delicious, too! I love the selections. Fun to know what is ethnic for Puerto Ricans. The food was warm, plenty of meat in the empanada, everything was fresh, and the owner cares if you like the food! That makes a huge difference. We will definitely go back! Hope I can have such a fun time visiting with friends again in the inviting atmosphere! Jennifer, who took our order, was friendly in welcoming us. Human kindness matters, especially when they want you to like their food and they make it tasty! Everything was cooked to perfection. Sauces are homemade, well described, and add a delightful zing to the good food.

Three stars is being generous. After walking in and saying that nobody was in the restaurant except for two employees I should've had a clue what to expect. After picking up the menu to explore their Saturday breakfast options, which were very limited, I realized there was nobody in this place for a reason. The breakfast empanada selection was a list of one. That is about the extent of the complete menu - limited. The final blow to this place, after the store bought empanada dough, was how rude they were when I left. Come to find out it was actually the owner as well. Two thumbs down and realistically two stars to many!

Great empanadas. I got several to go. It's a small place but it has a decent amount of seating. I will be back

Expensive and not as tasty as we had expected. Good size plate but a little tasteless. The yucah fries were hard and tasteless too and only on the of the ladies was nice, the owner was a little entitled. We will not be returning there or recommending to friends and family anymore. For a little restaurant with a small menu, you would think they had more flavorful plates and would be grateful for every visit.
Omg! We stumbled on this restaurant and it was fantastic! Had the empanada lunch special (I did the beef and the pizza versions) with white rice and beans .... so flavorful and delicious!! Can't wait to try all the empanadas, and the bowl, and the mofongo next time I'm there. It's only open 3 days a week during lunch hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so plan ahead of time! Yummmmm

Arguably the best empanadas I've ever eaten. So delicious. A great stop for some authentic food made with TLC. My only complaint is I think they are understaffed. When I went the other day, it was only 3 women working, and only one of them was actually cooking. The place was packed. I waited 30 minutes at least for 10 empanadas. The woman working the register also charged me incorrectly, luckily I noticed and she refunded me, no problem. I would highly suggest, just don't go if you're in a rush or time crunch.
