Went for dinner here with my wife and daughter. It wasn’t busy when we arrived, but we still had to wait while the staff milled about and talked to each other before acknowledging us. Our waitress was friendly and helpful after that though. The food was good, but there were about 10 flies in our seating area that harassed us once our food came out. That section wasn’t particularly clean either.

Our party of 9 ladies made an 8:15 pm reservation for dinner on 4/6/24. I had recommended Tupelo Honey in Greenville SC due to a previous wonderful experience. We arrived and was seated. Our waitress, Sophia M. took our orders and then brought out our drinks. She then brought out an order of biscuits and refilled our drinks. While talking and eating the biscuits, we noticed almost an hour had passed and we had not seen our waitress and had not received our entrees. We then asked a waitress nearby to have our waitress come to our table so we could get an update on our food. Sophia came out and asked, "did you need me"? We asked her about our entrees and she informed us that our food was ready and would be brought to our table. Other waitresses along with Sophia brought our food to the table. The food was good. One member in our party asked about ordering a dessert and Sophia informed her that the kitchen was about to close. She did not go and ask anyone in the kitchen if the dessert was available. Then we noticed that another couple adjacent to our table placed an order for a dessert and our waitress brought it to their table. We then asked for our checks and to-go boxes and bags. She brought the to-go boxes and bags. Afterwards she brought our receipts in the black holders and sat them on the end of the table and started to walk away. We asked her if she was going to hand them out according to our orders and she replied "I thought that you could do that yourselves." We asked to speak to a manager and she made a smart remark as she was walking away to get the manager. The manager, Kylan came to our table and we informed her of our encounter with the waitress and how her attitude had changed since we asked the other waitress to get her. She apologized and stated that she would talk with the waitress that night. She also said that she would give us a discount on each bill. We explained that we did not need a discount but wanted to let her know of the negative behavior and poor customer service from the waitress. She then gave us a discount. I informed her that we would not recommend this location to anyone.

The food was amazing, the ambiance was comforting. Very much southern comfort food. They however weren't very accommodating with a service dog and gave us a hard time, so I'm taking off some stars because everyone should feel safe to enter an establishment.

Greetings! Tupelo Honey stands out to me as an amazing slice of modern southern cooking in the heart of Greenville, SC. I found my way here via hotel front desk recommendation, and I am happy, and surprised, to share I've taken my three breakfasts/brunches this weekend at this location. It was worth EVERY meal, and I don't regret the opportunity cost of what I might have missed going to other places. When it's this good, the next places could be a let down...I'm sustaining success and I loved every bite. Here's the breakdown: First of all- space is immaculate, cozy, and welcoming. First Win- The coffee- rich, full of flavor, hint of smoke, and a reason alone to come if you, like me, take coffee seriously. Second Win- Smothered Chicken...simply stunning dish featuring their fried boneless chicken thighs, perfect gravy, and amazing sides. Second only to Michie Tavern in Charlotte, VA. Crispy Brussels Sprouts, Grilled Broccolini, and Parmesan rosemary potatoes sublime. Third Win- Had to have the smothered chicken again came back the next day. Did not disappoint at all! Fourth Win- I asked an Uber drive for local food leads and he recommends the Shrimp and Grits, the dish I wanted the second day but couldn't get past the smothered chicken. The first bite confirmed I was in food Nirvana...and so glad I came back for the third time...and I'm charmed! Behind great food, are the great people. Hats off to Bo, Clay, and Alyssa...they're pros and you'll love their on point service, genuine smiles, and charm. Until next time...tk

They said there was a wait time of 2hrs and they had multiple empty tables sitting open. That's just ridiculous.

Hello, Im Norman! As a top Greenville yelp review, let me start off with an honest statement. Too long of a wait! We waited over an hour to sit down in their tiny bar that didn't even have enough seats. But, I will say, the food was pretty scrumptious!!! Other than the wait this restaurant is amazing. But Jimminy Crickets, we waited long!

Terry was our waiter and he was amazing. Overall food was ok. Gumbo tasty but Nashville chicken a bit dry and boring. My friend had chicken and waffles which he liked. Atmosphere was cute and not too loud.

The food was very good. I had the shrimp and grits and it was delicious. My son had the burger and said it was really good. He liked the fries as well. The restaurant was out of the dish I wanted. It was about 6 pm and they had already run out. It was very crowded. We had reservations and had to wait about 20 minutes. There is not really anywhere to sit or stand while you wait for a table. It's a loud restaurant. The service was really good.

What a gem! Flavor explosion is an understatement ? Homemade fried pickles are to die for, everything tastes amazing. Great location and great atmosphere. Wait staff very sweet and attentive. Check it out for yourself you won't be sorryParking: Parking downtown can be tricky but if you're patient you will find it. Then, it's a quick stroll down the promenade to the restaurant.

Best breakfast in Greenville. A little hard to find, but worth the search. Always a line at the door but worth the wait. Impossible to rate any breakfast except Brennans a 5 so this is good.
