We had a fabulous evening celebrating my mother's birthday. She RAVED about the experience, which thrilled me. Our service was amazing! Daniel was quick to ensure our seating was in a comfortable place for my parents. Victoria was very friendly, helpful and attentive. Carly and Caris were also amazing! There were so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The fried green tomato appetizer was delicious, with a perfect golden brown crispy coating and a perfectly cooked (not mushy) tomato. The shrimp and grits were amazing! It was served with several very large shrimp. My dad loved it, and he is a discerning judge of shrimp and grits. My mom had the fried chicken and collard greens, and just could not believe how delicious the collard greens were! The au gratin potatoes were cheesy perfection! I had the filet and crab cake and they were perfect! I highly recommend this restaurant!

We had an awesome waitress who took good care of us. The food was great, especially the crab cake. They helped my daughter and I celebrate our birthdays and gave us great memories to cherish. The waitress even followed us out to cold street to snap priceless pictures for us.

Service was way too slow for a weekday evening. Waited for drinks, to order our food, for our food and dessert and the check. Was not told there was a charge for the type of water we chose. Definitely not a location we will return to.
Unfortunately this iteration of Rick's just seems to miss the mark. The hostess and server were pleasant, but we had to ask for a drink order that was forgotten and had to flag down another server for water refills. A feature appetizer was a total miss, and the braised veal short rib pasta entree and the ribeye were also subpar. The quality just doesn't merit the price. On a positive note, the Bella Union cab by Far Niente is reasonably priced based on its retail cost.

Excellent restaurant for a special occasion or just a nice night out. The food was really delicious and the staff very friendly and attentive. I proposed to my future wife and they were so accommodating to make this very special for her, even videoing my proposal!!

The service and food was really good. A little bit too much upselling included and too many interruptions from service side. Portions are nice and everything is fresh and very good quality. The ambiance could be more intimate, the tables are too close to each other.

Bad experience at Rick Erwins Greer restaurant for a Valentines meal with my wife. I have been a Rick Erwin restaurant fan for years and have enjoyed all of his other restaurants, so this incident was eye opening and troublesome. We were greeted when we arrived and taken to our table that I had reserved, a gentleman quickly came and took our drink order, returned with our drinks and then got our meal order. After that no one came to refill our water or asked us for another drink request. We then seen other patrons come in and had great service from their waitresses, but ours never returned, but I did see him helping others. After finishing up our meal I finally had enough and flagged a waitress down and requested more water and another beverage. Someone must have finally noticed the failed service and a lady came and asked us if anything else was needed and even offered a free desert which we denied. Like I said I have been a satisfied patron for years and have always enjoyed Rick Erwin meals and have even met him several times at his restaurants, but this has left a very bad taste for me especially when I'm spending over $200 for a meal and taking my wife out for a nice evening . Very Bad Experience and not sure if I will go back.

Food was good and so was service. Wine list vintages were out of sync with what the waiter brought to the table but we eventually found a good bottle. Good value; steak lobster combo was excellent. We had a nice time and would go back.

Rick Erwins is a top notch restaurant in the heart of downtown Greer, SC. It provides excellence from the exceptionally friendly staff to fast service, no matter what your needs maybe. The chef is the best on food preparation bar none! A big shout out to Vicki Jenkins, who made absolutely sure our time was the best experience from start to finish. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant!

Overall we enjoyed our meal. The service was a bit delayed. There were many of discussion about $3 increases in side swaps so the ordering of food portion wasn't pleasant. It was mentioned multiple times. Going to Ricks isn't a cheap experience and we knew that coming in. Small, minimal increases shouldn't be consistently asked about in my opinion. Aside from that, the food and flavors were wonderful!
We had a great time. The food was great and the service was impeccable! Although we were seated close to other tables, we enjoyed our meals, the ambiance and the people that were dining next to us. We always enjoy dining at Rick Erwin's and will be back again soon!

Not a good visit, steaks were cooked incorrectly. Service was mediocre tonight Spent over $300 for four people and was not a good value have eaten here a few times and the burger is good as are the crabcakes but the steaks are not great cuts and are not prepared correctly
Food was delicious. Will say, don't order the Caesar salad. Just wasn't anything to write home about. Everything else was great. She-crab soup is delicious. The Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes. My husband had the bison special and it came with an enormous amount of food! All of it was delicious. Service was great as well

Rick Erwin's in Greer was a great experience, overall. The food was very good, but not anything you can't find at a lot of places. Our server Sherry (sp?) was fantastic, though. She really made us feel welcome and made the evening even more enjoyable than it was already. I would definitely return.
