I absolutely love this place. I struggle with going out to eat by myself. I pushed myself to go in and sit down to eat. Glad I did. My waitress found out I was a new customer and was excited and told me that I am family now. I felt completely comfortable. The food was on point concerning I cook at home. It was nice having a REAL hand pressed burger patty with fresh veggies and pimento cheese. The real French fries are great also. I ate it all. Thank you Ruth's! Glad to know I have family there next time I come to South Carolina! Service was so amazing I left her a 22.00 dollar tip! So worth it.

1 Feb 24- I hr to Ruth's today and was waited in by Shelly. She was AMAZING!! A bright ray of sunshine. Warm, professional and attentive. The food was great. I'd definitely recommend this place, make sure you ask for Shelly. Thanks for making my morning ?.

My girlfriend and I are always traveling around S.C. whether it be for work or meetings. We were traveling down sc 151 in between Hartsville and McBee and came across this dinner gem severing food since the 1950's .....I got 2 hotdogs ALW and crinkle frie and my baby got Cheeseburge and fries ..... all I can say is damn this food was really freaking good ......side note they sever down home souther cooking 1 meat and 3 sides type of good food too.... we will be coming by for the weekly specials next time .....Ruth's dinnerParking: All around the establishmentKid-friendliness: Great famliy friendly atmosphere

Old school type restaurant like you used to find on every main street years ago. I work in Hartsville every month and I always visit Ruth's. Great food, great prices, great service. Don't forget to try the fish fry on Fridays! A real winner! Can't wait to return.

Fries were extremely greasy. Did not receive bread that came with the hamburger steak meal. The "hushpuppies" were hard and bland. The burger was over cooked and hard. There server and manager were very nice but once was enough.
