Absolutely a gem of a restaurant. This is more than a pizzeria. The shrimp portafino is immaculate. The Cuban sub is incredible. The presentation is good. The staff are friendly. If Gordon Ramsay were to eat in hartsville SC, I’d recommend him this restaurant. Best subs, best pizza, best Italian food (probably the only AUTHENTIC Italian food in the county) GO HERE. You will not regret it. The head chef is an Italian man who can not even speak English, so you know it’s good.
I went outside the box this time and ordered something a friend of mine was telling me was really good. A cheeseburger sub. Another place in town serves this and it is my absolute favorite but their prices have gotten so high. I was skeptical but I ordered it the same way I get the other and it was so good! NY by the slice is such a great and affordable place and you can tell because they are usually pretty busy when we go. Thank you NY by the slice for being one of our constants...read full review

Wonderful place to eat!! Walk in the front door and you hear music. You can sit on that side with the music or sit on the other side and barely hear the music. Your preference. Love that! Excellent service! Love that they have paper placemats on the table! (Somewhere for your utensils to sit, for germaphobes like me?)If you bring little kids, they can color and have their picture taped to the wall. We had the side salad and we each had a small pizza.
