Loved the crabcake sandwich! Funky atmosphere with lots of TV screens for watching sports. A very good find for lunch. We will be back!

My wife and I went in for happy hour. We ordered four different things and all were great. The $4 fish taco was huge. 4 apps, two drinks and put the door for $35. Can’t beat it for a late snack since the happy hour goes until 7.

Salad ingredients were very fresh, clam chowder was excellent. Monday night football on lots of TV’s. Bartenders were very friendly

We enjoyed dinner here the fried fish and seafood were exellent ,i would go back here the scallops were the best ive had . Patio was crowded and loud but people know its good so they show up . Make a reso and give this spot a try

Stopped in for lunch. Looks like a good bar/pub with indoor or outdoor seating etc. I had ultimate nachos which I would not recommend. The chips were fine but I cannot say anything positive about any of the other ingredients or the presentation. Choose something else.

Oct 14, 2025 My husband and I had dinner at Captain Woody's on Hilton Head last night, and I was VERY disappointed with the He Crab Soup. I was really looking forward to having this before dinner, and when I tasted it, I couldn't believe how it has changed. It was SOOOO spicy, I couldn't eat it. I was totally not expecting that it would have chopped jalapenos in it. Why change a good thing? If a change is made, you could at least offer a spicy and a regular soup. In addition, I got a shrimp taco, which was mediocre. My husband got chicken tenders, one of which was dry and tough. If we choose to eat there again, I will be VERY selective with my order. Sophie was our waitress and she was exceptional.

First time here but a busy place with lots of options. We did not have to wait. The service was great and attentive. We loved the HeCrab soup and the shrimp chili. Our orders included shrimp burger (something new for me), crab cakes and Beast Burger. Onion rings and potato chips were good as well as vegetable medley and cole slaw. Good night!

We were there for a celebration of life and we couldn’t ask for better food and better service! Patrick was on top of it! From start to finish the staff was amazing. They went over and above, which was beyond amazing during a very difficult day. Highly recommend!

Our family of eight enjoyed a delightful dinner with Captain Woody’s staff tonight. (Wish I could remember the servers names, sorry). Everyone tried something new to them and we had a great time comparing who had the best meal. Three of us tried the Trigger fish, done three ways. Grilled dinner, grilled sandwich with homemade chips, and a deep fried sandwich with coleslaw and hush puppies. It is a wonderful taste, not fishy, and grilled to perfection. My husband really enjoyed his Trio of fish, scallops and shrimp in a cream sauce. Shrimp Po’boy sandwich, steak salad and a cheeseburger were all vying for top dish too. We started our meal sharing hush puppies, calamari (definitely the best, fresh, non-chewy or greasy anyone has ever had), pimento dip and crackers and cornbread basket with six steaming hot pieces that melted in our mouths. We were there prior to dinner hour and really took our time enjoying each bite. Family friendly and easy on the pocket. We will return.

Staff didn’t seem to care if we were there or not. Looked to be way understaffed for lunch hour during peak summer time. Lots of open tables but 25 minute wait. I personally don’t care for any restaurant that doesn’t value its customers

We have visited Hilton Head many times and this is probably one of our favorite restaurants so far. Had a server at another restaurant not mentioned the key lime pie here, we probably never would have eaten at Captain Woodys. My mom, husband, and two young kids (5 & 7) loved the hush puppies and New England Clam Chowder that we shared while I also enjoyed my fish tacos. The key lime pie was phenomenal and comparable to the key lime pie at a restaurant we love in Florida. It is likely that we will return here every time we come back to Hilton Head.

We are long-time lovers of Captain Woody’s!!!! This was our first time to eat at the new location and thankfully we loved it just as much as the old location on Arrow Rd. Brie B. was our fantastic server. Brie took extra special care of us, as we never wanted for anything the entire time we were there. We started things off with a dozen steamed oysters and a couple of Yuenglings poured into an icy cold glass!!!!! Then, we each ordered a cheeseburger, one with awesome fries and one with extraordinary onion rings. BTW—the best onion rings on planet earth!!!!! We ended our meal by sharing a FABULOUS piece of peanut butter chocolate pie. WOW—We can hardly wait until our next Captain Woody’s experience!!!!! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Captain Woody’s—awesome food at a very reasonable price, awesome service and awesome atmosphere.
