Captain Woody's Bar & Grill

We have been dining at Captain Woody's on each of oour visits for 25 years or so. and have followed woody thru 3 moves. Last week the meal was alittle off. Our salads came first after a drink was sered, then before we had a good start on them the "CAPTAINS TRIO" was placed in front of us ( way too fast). The Trio was not as hot as it should have been.. It was loaded with scallops and Shrimp (yum !) but very little fish. The vegies were tasty but also not hot and were crispy (THATS GOOD CRISPY). We hope this was a one time experience. We will be back on our next visit hoping thing improve to their former quality.

We have been going to Woody's for 10 years. I have gotten many different things over the years. I will have to say, the He Crab soup is much better than it used to be. One of my faves is the peel and eat shrimp. It was good. However, I like butter with mine. The butter was cold when it came out. But the "butter" is not real butter. It taste funny. Like it is powdered butter or bomb shelter butter. (powdered butter). It could last 30 years but taste terrible. I would say if we pay as much as we do there, you could have real butter.

Reply to owner: Why should I have to get a manager? I asked the bartender twice for warm butter. The 2nd time it was delivered cold as well. And this is not Real butter. I can't believe you are making me believe this is real butter. It is not the right consistency or the the right color. This was an orange color. real butter is clear and yellow. It was horrible. I had to take my shrimp home to get real butter to dip it in.I do not feel that well after eating this and do not care for your attitude.

Disappointed that we showed up for “happy hour” and went to order outside at the bar area and because we weren’t sat in a high top we weren’t able to order off of that menu. I think it’s pretty ridiculous that on the patio you can’t order off of the happy hour menu. They should definitely not advertise that on their website or at least put the “rules” on the website.

Jayme is one of the best servers we’ve had! Ella (who we loved) used to be our server but she moved to college. Didn’t think we’d find someone so personable, but Jayme has been fabulous! Thanks for such a fun server! We’ll keep coming back! Food is good and the atmosphere is good!!

Sandwich bread was stale, sent it back and was replaced with ok bread. Steamed veggies were soggy so didn’t eat. Steak on Surf and Turf was tasteless according to my son. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant after this visit. Maybe they were having a bad day!

Food was awful the nachos were so tough you couldn't eat. When you picked up one chip the whole plate of nachos came up. Ordered some beer pretzels and got some hard Walmart pretzels 10 bucks. I told the waitress I wanted soft beer pretzels and she said yeah I wish. Tried to send nachos back and she stated they were made that way. Needless to say we want be going back we walked out with a 100.00 worth of food still sitting on the table.
