Very poor experience. They lost our reservation. It took more than 2 hours from being seated until our entrees arrived. Food was decent. Great live music. Service and management terrible. For the price they need to be better.

Great steak; our server, Steven, was attentive for the most part, but service dragged toward the end.My wife and I shared a porterhouse, and it was cooked to perfection. Quality was excellent, too!We shared a Crem Brule for dessert, and it was good, too!We will come back!

The reviews are hit or miss, so my husband and I were hesitant to dine here. Thankfully we made it on a “hit” night. Tuna tartare, oysters Rockefeller, wedge salad, dry-aged NY strip, Brussel sprouts, and twice baked potatoes were all incredible! The cocktails were lovely as well. Lindsay was wonderful - perfectly attentive, while also letting us enjoy our time together without being interrupted incessantly. We will be back!

Excellent steaks and sides were great! Everything is alacarte which is ok, however the experience is very pricey! Lowering the prices will definitely put more people in the restaurant on a more regular steady basis! Entertainment was very good!

We were the only table in the entire restaurant and it still took about 90 minutes just to get appetizers on the table. It felt like the temperature was well into the 80s on the inside. The server was not knowledgeable about any of the food items and the steaks that were served were so tough that the table did not even want to eat them.

Food tastes great. Small portions and extremely overpriced. I ordered rack of lamb, delicious but I don’t consider 4 chops a rack.

Another good night (AGN) at the Chop House. Caesar salad is the best on the Island. If you like Salmon - get it. My wife had the Baratta Salad, excellent as were the Meatballs. Cocktails and wine - great. Lindsey at the bar is on top of your every need. Lou L

Great atmosphere. Feels like a first-rate NYC steak house. But the service did not. Our server was nice, but inattentive and a little too “fun” and not serious enough about his job. When you're paying THESE kind of prices $$$$$ the service needs to be pitch perfect and professional. I think our server either needed help (no bussers or other front-of-house support colleagues whatsoever) or needed the tables in his section to be fewer/closer together. Our food service was VERY slow and we sat for a long time after dinner with dirty dishes and no bussing - nor were we offered dessert, coffee, aperitifs. A missed opportunity for us to spend more $$$$$. It seemed to me that our server perhaps didn't receive the kind of training that would coincide with this level of pricing. He just missed it at every turn (empty water glasses - even after we asked twice for water, dropped a knife at my feet while STACKING plates to clear the table and never came back to pick it up). And, the table where we were seated has a curtain behind it to allow kitchen staff to leave to go outside to an exterior walk-in cooler. Every time they came and went the curtain blew into our chairs and it just felt odd to have folks moving around right behind you that you couldn't see. Oh, and not having bearnaise sauce at a steak restaurant was a miss. We will try returning some time - the atmosphere and food quality were worth another shot. But I would expect the service to be substantially better to earn my repeat business. If this were a casual dining establishment - the service would have been “OK” - but for a $70 steak plus salad, plus side dishes, plus drinks/wine (right around $150 per person) Chophouse 119 needs to up its service game by a lot.

Ok, but should be much better: drinks took 20-25 mins in a 1/3 full dining room; tomahawk ribeye was ordered medium rare but was cool to the touch in the middle - rare by definition; sides were weak (carrots undercooked, Lyonnaise potatoes tasteless); and even though we were in middle section - not next to the saxophonist - music was intrusive. The good: server tried his best, even with these obstacles; and space is nice. The space has been open a year, so all these kinks should have been worked out by now.

Very disappointing. The food was average at best. Service was average. Prices for what we received were ridiculous and we often splurge at fine dining places. This is a waste of an evening.

Really enjoyed our first experience here. Pretty pricey to make it a regular date night, but loved stepping into a different setting and the food and service was very good. Thanks to all.

This place was exquisite! The decor was immaculate and the ambiance is perfect for a date night! A bit pricey for the amount for food you get... $21 for 3 oysters is insane but they were tasty...

From the Hostess to our servers, the staff was outstanding. I had the Wago tenderloin, my son in law had the salmon and my wife had filet and lobster tail and my daughters had the filet. It was all delicious!

The chop houses that I have frequented pride themselves on their top-notch service, impeccable food and beautiful ambiance. The ambience of the restaurant was beautiful, it has a 1920s feel which I love. It took about 10 minutes to get water as our waitress was handling tables in different areas. When the waitress arrived, she offered us regular water, sparkling or distilled water. Anyone who's from this area whether it be Savannah or Hilton head knows that the water taste is not that great. It tastes like it comes right out of the ocean. We assumed with this being a Chophouse that the water would be filtered, we ordered it and it wasn't So we ended up asking for sparkling water instead. The bread that they serve at the table arrived, and it was completely burnt on the bottom. My husband and I both ordered fillets, one with horseradish butter, and one with maitre D hotel butter, a wedge salad and shared a loaded potato. The chop salad was very good, it had the right amount of dressing and toppings. When the steak and potato arrived, the plates were cold and the butter toppings for the steaks came on the side, cold and mine still had the paper wrapping around it. Every steakhouse that I've ever been to when ordering butter toppers for steaks have always come on top of the steak melted never cold and on the side. The steak was cooked nicely and had great flavor and serving size of the potato was good for two people, and it tasted good. For dessert I ordered a crème brûlée, and sadly it was underwhelming. The Maitre D that walked around did more chatting with the hostess then actually checking with the customers to see how everything was. Sadly, with the price point of this restaurant we won't be returning.
